    wow that's a large ecodisc! I wonder how challenging it was for KONE to develop this system for that high a max capacity. That motor definitely sounds epic!

    There is a lift at my local shopping centre that can hold 4000KG Ecodisc of course, still a crazy amount it can hold!

    That's a big lift! Very common in Ikea's. Sadly Ikea's in the netherlands use Orona lifts in their newer stores. Maybe the older MX10 4:1 0.5 m/s was still a bit more price competitive then the MX20 2:1 1.0 m/s? That must be the reason for it to exist, like it's a cost reduced version for when the capacity is more important then the speed.

    In IKEA Duiven they use Shindler Generics, Not Orona. But it is not really a 'old' ikea.

    Can you make a video talking about the dangers of entering lift shafts, what you look for etc also do all shalfs have space at the top so the operator won't die? or have you seen some where if you rode to the top you'd get hurt?

    I’ve never surfed them before, and have no intent to. You need to know what your doing in shafts tho. And from watching people it seems like if you can duck lower than the rails on top of the car, you should be fine. THIS IS NOT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE, THIS IS JUST AN ASSUMPTION,

    I think falling down the shaft would be the main danger then getting fingers, hands and arms crushed, trapped and ripped off in things.

    They have 3 of these at IKEA reading car park - they appear to have loads of issues with them as at least one of them is almost always out of service when I’ve visited. I wonder why they have so many issues with them?

    This is as much as Ecodiscs MRLs can take I think. I've never seen an Ecodisc with a higher capacity that is MRL. The 5000kg Ecodisc MRLs I saw were of the older model from the mid 2000s, possibly using MX20 motors with a speed of 0.5m/s

    I wonder what motor the main Ecodiscs at Westfield White City/Shepherd’s bush have then. They all have loads of 2000kg (26 persons) but all go at least 1.6m/a (if not 2 or 2.5)

    The MX20+ is definitely one of the greatest lift motors ever made. So is the MX20.

    Especially with the newer VF drives. Kone do make the best MRL motors that still feel substantial compared to the minature jokes of the Gen2 and 5500.

    Overload the lift with tungsten cubes placed next to each other to raise the floor of the lift. (You can use lead or tungsten carbide or just mild steel)

    USA there’s nothing mentioned for larger that 2268 KG including their machine room ones. Anything bigger you need to commission I guess.

    In Australia, we have 4000 kg 1.6 m/s EcoDisc's and 5000 kg Schindler EuroLifts

    ...You mean 2600? Also it seems Australia has much larger lifts than normal (often places that would have 1,200 kg would have a 2,000 instead).

    In the US KONE made a one-off 8500 KG ecodisc that goes around 1 m/s. Probably not MRL.

    @@benolifts the cab was very well build with top of the range Doors and a big chassis, but the building only had 5 floors. Maybe 1.6m/s was to fast

    @@Finnstrains Which website banned you? The internet can be a very toxic place. Online groups can get very nasty. Surfing lifts and cranes isn't illegal in the UK. The only real thing I do that is illegal is train surfing abroad.

    wow that is so big you could probably fit a full sized SUV in it and it could probably move with something like that since SUVs on average weigh about 3500 pounds and this beast can hold 5000 pounds Im not sure what 5000 KG translates to in pounds but I took a guess

    Kone has push their limits AGAIN, In india there is a 1 elevator that can carry 6000 kg 8:1 at 0.7m/s, And it's not an MRL, It's an MX100 Improved version

    OK so that motor looks small on video but it is huge in realife (I remember seeing clear lift shafts with ecodiscs in it and it looked small on video but in real life they are HUGE)
