Testing out the new DS18 FRP 5k/TI Full range class D 1 channel Monoblock amp. One thing I LOVE doing is testing amps that don't burn up on the bench. I know it is a good amp if I can test it over and over again without any problems. The SMD Damore Engineering AD-1 Amp Dyno is like the Honeybadger though, it just doesn't care. There is no feelings when it comes to testing amps on this bench. But this one did great! What an amazing little powerhouse. I was REALLY impressed! At just 10 cents a watt, you can't go wrong! I need a good small platform sub amp for my square body Chevy build I may have to give one a try. I only need about 2k but the 35k would be fine.

Iv found it hard to believe that an amp that size can punch out power like this, always imagined the bigger the amp the bigger the power output - but i forgot car audio technology has made massive leaps and bounds since the 90s-2K lol salute

That lil amp is not messing around. I have the DS18 ZR 2000.1 and love it! Cannot go wrong with their amplifiers!

Powerhouse puts it gently. That little amp is like a Dyson Sphere with the heart of a sun for its energy but stays cool in the game. Nice! Love it!

That little guy really packed some ooomphhh, they do make great subs and speakers too.

DS18 never let me down.

I been running a DS18 monoblock since last year and it's been great, I beat on it and it keeps going.

I just got the first part of my final project. I started back in the 80s with 2x MTX 10s in a prefab hatchback enclosure. Tossed it on the backseat of my '76 Nova (2 door, 350 sb, white with wrap around flames) my dad built for me.... Running a 500 watt Majestic amp I borrowed from my cousin. Rolling in the highschool parking lot feeling like a god! A few years later, it would be a 91 Ford Festiva. Not a pretty car but it was a gift for graduating. Took the backseat out and built a wall holding 4 Kicker comp 12s and only powered by a Rockford Punch 75 (@$400.⁰⁰+ I could only afford one). Lowered her down. Painted silver with royal blue flakes. Added 4 Street Glow neon tubes (purple. Blue was illegal back then) under her belly. And now @ 51....I just got the first part of my final project done. 2000 Honda Accord sedan. The backseat has been replaced with 2x Lanzar 15s with a 3200.1D Orion Cobalt.... Today, I'll be starting on the 2nd part. Adding 2x Lanzar 12s with a SoundXtreme 5000.2 A/B.... The rest is still on the chalkboard.. I know I'm going with some 8s for midrange and I have a couple pairs of bullet style tweeters.... I'm just not sure how I want them all set up. It's just me and this Georgetown, South Carolina USA heat is taking this ole man for a hard ride! It's got to be done! If I had that amp? After wiping the drool from my chin, ... It would get installed somewhere in the build... Nice amp. Thanks for the review test!!

Labelle , Florida and I would definitely use this amp to push my single 15 American bass. My buddy has a couple ds18 full range amps and those amps suck up a lot of power but they also produce their rated power. This is another example of ds18 stepping up their game.

Damn thing is smaller that my Memphis PRXA 1000.1 Mono block amp. Crazy how small powerful amps are getting. Remember back in the day how big some of the amps were?

The compact size would definitely do nicely in my mega cab Dallas Texas would definitely hear it just got to decide what to hook it to. May have to grab some DS-18 subs for it

yup, I film, edit, upload and admin everything you see. Occasionally I will get someone to hold the camera for me or hit the record button while it is on the tripod. Also my son admins the channel with me. But I do all the filming, editing and uploading on my own and always have. Thanks for ridin' with me all these years my bro!

I just got the 3500 watt and put on my 2 American bass XFL 15s crazy power from a small amp just be sure to go with copper wire so it runs the most efficient

Off all the skar audio ct sounds etc ds18 has worked best for me they don’t overate there specs like others

I would put it in my 2004 Subaru Forester (the dad mobile). Since it's small I can tuck it anywhere so all the kids bikes and groceries and crap won't get in the way. Probably 2 beefy 10s in a small box. Bob from Chicago area. Love the channel!
