And if you don’t like I said your Toby will be GONEEEEE
Cory reminds me of Matt Smith's Doctor Who whenever he goes on a tangent i love it 😂
Good to see you and reuben having a great time u get along so well! Glad to see he is enjoying his journey
Cory has gone to the Shire and has faithful Reuben along for assistance . As he investigates the 17th.century abode for clues for his project he calls in reinforcements to to battle with the slumbering wasps in their winters quarters in the thatched attic. Cory lives in a parallel universe of knowing the mystic arts of electricery installation in the 21th century . But he has been to the North and Winter is coming. He always scans his environment for clues in Nature . Consulting with various spiders, dogs and horses at his different jobs sites Is Cory a Time Traveler ? He loves high fructose corn syrup, chocolate and Pringles .Tomorrow he is bringing his climbing gear to work . Will he be transported back in time again. Tuned for part 2.

Fortunately he won't have to return to 1963.
Woa, you're making me really glad the house I live in doesn't require removing ceilings or floors to access junctions and run cables.
You can have the middle switch as the feed switch chaps. We’ve done exactly that before. Draw it on a piece of paper and you’ll see why.

Ah yes - thank you. If you draw a 3-way circuit with the feed/switch wire in L1/L2 in the two way switch at one end, it is electrically identical if you were to "move" those to L1/L2 on one side of the intermediate switch.

Lovely House. Worked on similar beam work on old barn conversion. It's nice to see you take pride in your job Cory. Rubins is lucky to have positive constructive teaching.. keep up the good work.
The Scaffolders one 😂😂 miss the baby on the sites all ready
Fascinating one this one. We’ve got a 450 year old farmhouse with a thatched roof in Suffolk. Probably more original than the one in the video since it’s not been moved. Ours has 1st floors throughout now and a ceiling to the loft but was originally open to the rafters for 2/3 of the house and they kept cows and sheep and horses in the open bit until 1750. The smell has gone now. I’ve put a grid of 2x2 metal trunking in the loft with metal flexicon from the trunking through the ceilings to keep the wiring all in metal enclosures right through to the consumer unit. The thatch has a fire proof lining to keep the cost of the insurance down together with ponds outside just to ensure enough water if there is a fire.
Bloody brilliant!
Nice one lads, love old houses I service an estate where the same family have lived for over 800 years 😃 part of the original castle is in the house!
you can have intermediate switch as the 'middle switch' use 1 3core cable brown and connect with the feeds and the other 3core cable brown with the switch wire, and then connect the intermediate grey and black in the switch like normal and second fix the 2 end switches! :)
Thanks for sharing the video !
With a thatched roof I would always recommend a lightning protection system. I am sure the insurance company would reduce your premiums with that installed as well. Something to advise the owner Jordan it will be a specialist company. E5 group recently did an excellent video on this.
Thanks for the - darkened - Tim Tam shout out Cory! I see you had the double choc ones. I'm glad you like them.
Thatch is usually Reed! Ususally Water Reed....... :) There are, to be fair, some varieties of straw that can be used , but not that common..
Good to see rueben back 👍🏻
We use fire proof cable in old barn builds when ever there’s hay or straw about 👍🏻 Keeps the inspectors-happy
You can have the intermediate as the first switch. I did it last week, you just have switch/feed in the L1 /L2 with one of the 3C/CPC and the other 3C/CPC there going into the other side of it plus the commons in the Wago , so you just literally end up with 1 x 3C/Cpc at each of the other 2 switches. The intermediate switch is connected as standard but with the feed and SL in L1 and L2 with them.
Absolutely well done as usual. What would expect when you get the two stars together! Lol
Brilliant 👏 as usual lads great instructor as well over 40 years a spark still love u young lads working so Brilliantly 👏 from John North Ireland, ps love the background music 🎶
I hate wasps too! Regarding the existing lighting cct, it should still be possible to adapt by making the switch with the line and switch line the intermediate point. Obviously we can’t see the wiring as well as you but I think that’s how you described it. Anyway, you guys produce some great content. Thanks 👍
a guy i worked with took the weight off the chandeleir to test the weight i assume in a similar situation to this, only thing is he was alone at the top and couldnt get it hooked back on LOL, quickest i ever got up tower scaffold. only fools and horses moment about to happen
Looks like you need the grey Cells to work on this job Cory, Great job to Film and Bring content and Learn ⚡️👊
Cory you make me laugh 👍👍
Nice job Thanks ❤❤❤❤
That was interesting. I was watching this video, and the inevitable adverts came up (they irritate me). But not this time, because the advert was for a burglar alarm being installed by your firm. I guess they were impressed with the video you guys made showing what the product can do and how it is easy to install.

I had two adverts, both of them Jordan :D At least the algorithm's working properly!
Respect thou for the correct PPE!!
Nice bit of variation and scaffolding. Maybe time to do a working at heights segment.
I was in a loft replacing a bathroom fan… and accidentally put my hand through a wasps nest (it was pretty well hidden in my defence). Got stung 10+ times all over my left arm. Had to exfil the loft in a similarly rushed fashion and deploy a can of wasp spray with the trigger taped down into the loft. Wife told me to man up and grab dad’s bee keeping suit to get back up there and finish the job.
Great video... hate to nag for the work trousers link!
you don't need to quinetic you can use the feed switch as an intermediate you just have a 1 gang either side and have the common wago'd with the feed and switch live leaving the strappers in the middle switch only. Similar to the way conduit is wired live in one end, live out the other and just strappers between.
Complex switching up to 5 ways I think, Quinetic MK or Varilight grids look good and jobs a good un!
Great video 😎
extent video Cory and Reuben ,
Attention to detail like labelling Wagoboxes under a floor. It takes so little extra time to do these things but it is how every job should be done.
Don’t worry Rueben we value your life more than Cory does 😂
Cory didn’t realise you were a climber. Recommend big rock bond, some really good routes 💪👍
Fantastic
Where’s the link for the work trousers ? Need myself a new pair 😅
hey guys, another amazing video! wheres the link for the trousers i want me a pairrrrr
As it’s winter and the temperature is low, these are the next years hibernating queens.
CEF throwing themselves at you🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻
Nope couldn't afford insurance for something like that in the USA. Its hard to get insurance for cedar shake singles at this point. 👍😊
You find a lot of 500 year old wiring in houses!
I believe that thatch is neither hay nor straw - it's reeds.
Wow that dark at 5pm is just bizarre to me!
When spiders Attack!! 🤣🤣 want to see you holding a screwdriver after a good climb and the forearms are pumped 😁
a link for the trousers would be good lads!
Bring your chalk bag hey?The plot thickens 😉
Roof is Reed and England has some of the best Reed, Norfolk/Suffolk were prime Reed cutting areas and still are to a degree. Straw! Did one of the little pigs live there?
3:32 Ruben where's your drill and impactor lee gave you ;)
Cory its Reed roofing usually
Straw or reed for the thatch depending on region
New sound guy called Russel? Cos that's all I heard 😂
Do you have a link for the work pants?

For scaffolds I use the LOBO system so versatile in how you can build it definitely worth the outlay and so fast to build
Cory and Reuban, more like Batman and Robin, grime busters
Three words spring to mind- Fall Arrest Harness! Hope your Insurance covers wiring at such a hight
Bite off each end of the timtam and use it as a straw to suck up your coffee!!!!
Hey hey hey no hard hat on that scaffolding naughty naughty hahaha 😝
It’s made of reeds
Harvest moon ? Are you a neil young fan ?
I think it made from reeds
More time " youtubing" than actually getting the job done!! I must be getting bloody old !!!
what on Earth... :-) funny...
This video would do great with a subtitle as many times you are incomprehensible
I am disappointed by the lack of tim tam reviews :(
Obviously they have to deal with some shoddy 16th century wiring
Where was the 500 year-old wiring?
I demand a link for the tiktok

did not know they had electrics back then lol roof is either thatch or reed ,on a tower that high you do not need a safety harness, you got so mush side protection all the way up and its built correctly ,a bit of common-sense says do not over reach ,if you are going to use a safety harness ,just clip it to side of tower where you are working ,use a proper ladder to access loft ,,instead of standing on the very top of a step ladder
lol. Ex scaffolder takes offence at that. loved my time doing that. i'll forgive you
