I’m glad this rifle works for you....bought one new in the box, 10 different types of ammo, best group about 2 inches at 50yds, 6 inches at 100. Bullets wouldn’t feed without forcing, which was destroying accuracy. Mag rattled around in the chassis, stock felt cheap, just not pleased at all. Sold it a week later and purchased a CZ 457. My 3rd CZ. I like Ruger products, and own several, but this one missed the mark for me.

I weigh my CCI Standard velocity .22 LR rounds and sort to 0.1 grains. The bullet weight is what is so inconsistent with .22LR. The empty case weighs 9-10 grains, 1 grain of powder, and 40 grain bullet makes it weigh 50-51 grains. The bullets are made on many different molds and the bullets are mixed up before loading. The Lapua Midas Plus are pre weigh sorted so they do better on vertical consistency. The Ely Tennex are faster than Lapua Midas Plus but are also much more expensive. The Ely Tennex do better at 100 yards in my Winchester model 52 since they are faster and stabilize better where the Lapua Midas Plus perform better at 50 yards. I have had good success with CCI Standard Velocity weight sorted at 200-250 yards too.

I shoot 440 yards consistently with 22lr using both federal gold medal ultra match and aguila rifle match, both are subsonic so no transition. Tons of drop but super consistent and tight groups. I can't shoot it consistent with super sonic, even the gold medal hv

Good to know Josh. That’s what I was noticing as well. I am glad I tried doing this. Made me realize I really didn’t need the Cold Shot 300 moa base unless I planned on doing this regularly.

Try some CCI Velocitor. It'll get you past 500 + no problem. 1435 fps and much more consistent than Golden Bullets. And it's not $20 a bx like Eley Tenex. Good shooting man.
