That is a beautiful rifle i never could afford 1 of those so i built mine. I built a 450 nitro express and a 416 rigby i am building a 45-70 now. Thanks for sharing that its a gorgeous rifle

My 375 is as large as I've shot yet, not too much recoil. I'd love to try one of these DG SxS's in 470, 500, or 577. Not holding my breath though, LOL! Beautiful piece of work!

Very nice rifle! I suggest you reload your own ammunition, using the bullet weights the barrels were adjusted to, to improve accuracy. You should work on getting a group of about 2" (or less!) at that range BEFORE you try it out on DG. 👍

Double rifles stand by themselves as the absolute end all dangerous game rifle.Nothing is faster for a fallow up shot and if your hunting any of the Big 5 you better have a Follow up shot on the way if you miss the first one.

well, pretty false id say. there are semi auto rifles with more than 2 shots that are more than enough for the big 5. .338 lapua for example.

Easy to reload for it is,and hard cast lead make it cheap practice ammo also. Just scrub bore good afterwards.

У меня почти такое же ружье Сафари 160 калибр 470 нитро экспресс пробивает всю нашу дичь от косули до зубра на вылет на дистанции до 100м, 100-150м тоже пробьет на вылет но в лесу оч сложно попасть, каждый выстрел как ломом уебут больше 2 подряд никогда не стрелял, 1 попадания хватает даже через густой кустарник, 20 патронов стоят 1500р

Es ist gewaltig ich hab so eine als Deko Patrone damit würde ich nie im leben damit ballern der rückstoss wäre zu heftig. Ich glaube ne normale 9.3 74 würde auch reichen und kleiner.

I jave a 450 nitro express double rifle i built. The recoil is not as bad as you would think. I have a 458 lott a 416 rigby double rifle i built and am building a 45-70 double rifle.
A 17 € / cartouche, t'as intérêt à visée juste, sinon à 38.000 euro le fusil nue, j'ai moi même un 457 Lee pour le buffle.

Schönes Gewehr aber nicht praktisch der Rückstoss ist gewaltig von Kaliber her könnte man auch eine Barret m107 nehmen Kaliber 50 und deutlich weniger Rückstoss
Das ist aber nicht der Streukreis, mit dem ich Büffel oder Elefant anflicken wöllte... Wobei ich zugeben muss, dass ich für dieses Kaliber wohl nicht hart genug wäre.

Useless? It has way more power than both the rounds you mentioned. Just bacause it's expensive, that doesn't make it useless.
