I love the fact that you can walk right down the path and go swimming in that clean refreshing water. This Marching band is pretty interesting. Very cool. Hey Gio when you see a guy holding on to black lines, they are telephone lines, most power lines are above telephone lines

I was in Bohol i loved it lots to do and see.

As a 30 year wireman in the states, I would never do that without the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). I could go into all the things that were wrong with that operation... but I won't. The lines are insulated and in the states, the lines on the bottom are low voltage (cable, phone, internet). In our lines though, when a phone line rings, its 50 volts, enough to knock you off that ladder. I am surprised there is no Groundperson, making sure no one kicks or drives through the ladder. What a stunning home though. I will be visiting the island when I fly into Cebu in February for two month country tour. Fingers crossed...

Remember a guy on a dodgy looking wooden structure welding , flip flops, no harness, no hard hat next to a big swimming pool, sparks from his welding falling to the ground close to the pool ! I was in the pool ha ha , hey man watch out for me !! they were buiding a two storey dinning area for the resort , he was maybe standing on a wooden plank 10 feet high, good video Gio, nice place but 500 USD , hmmm guess you pay for the location too , like to go back and explore that Island , you can drive there soon too ? cheers from N Z

Those are not power lines but communication cables (Internet, telephone, cable tv and maybe some fiber optic). The power lines are the higher ones on the poles. Could be distribution voltage for residential and small commercial establishments). There could be primaries and the pole transformers will step it down to 220v and those might be the intermediate wires (middle) ones. Still wont pass OSHA requirements if in the US on how they do it there. Also nowadays most utilities in the US have boom trucks so very few ladders are being used although they have them in the trucks if needed.

Since they moved the main airport and immigration for Bohol from Tagbilaran to Panglau, Panglau has taken on a more important role.

Love that you do use the vernacular greetings there. Been in Panglao a decade ago.

The 2 story family restaurant across the street from that church is some good eating. As a matter of fact, is that where you are? If so, what is it called again? I think that little town is called Sawa, but it has been a while, so not sure. That electric 'work' drives me nuts. Two guys in Abra got thrown off a roof by messing with electricity for a roof build. That was about two months ago. They JUST both got out of the hospital. Pretty shocking appearances after the electricity passed through their bodies, and lucky or unlucky to be alive depending on how you look at the pain they are dealing with from electric burns. This is right around the corner from Dohol beach. I have never seen more starfish in the water than at that place. When I went three years ago, me and my buddy were literally the only two people swimming there, but a lot of building is coming in, so not sure how much longer it will be a quiet place to go. It is a much better beach than Alona, bing much wider and deeper naturally.
