  • @MrSamadolfo

    @MrSamadolfo

    🙂 thats fine, the only reason to get the 6700 is because its the biggest video card you can run with only a single 8pin power supply plug, it uses less electricity which is a good thing. As for the bulldozer rig if you have a decent ATX motherboard and its still working and its rock solid reliable then I suggest upgrading the cpu to an 8core FX 8300 or better, install 16GB of ram and a video card and turn it into a lower tier Gaming PC, and then either keeping it as a backup computer or you can sell it or you can donate it

    Hi Jason. There are two ways to plan your PC build: what you are willing to pay and what you desire to play. I chose the latter because it guides me in selecting the components I'll need to play a game in the desired detail. The game maker will suggest what you need to have. They usually break the requirements into three choices: good, better, or best. My suggestion is different from what you show in this video.

    I just got my CPU Cooler for my build 2 days ago. I got the Noctua NH-D15. That leaves 4 components left before I can put my PC together. 5 if you count the case fans. As I’m putting Noctua case fans in my case. I still have the CPU, GPU, motherboard, and the PSU. I’m going with the Ryzen 5 7600x and RX 6600. They’re going to be used as backups when I can get a Ryzen 7 7800x3D and Sapphire Tech Nitro+ RX 7900 XTX. As right now I don’t have a PC at all. So I’m getting the best components I can that don’t require any money saving at all. And have an upgrade path straight to top of the line. As I already have 32GB DDR5 6000MHz G.Skill Trident Z RGB RAM. So anything but the Ryzen 5 7600 or 7600x is out of the question. As anything but those don’t have an upgrade path past the Ryzen 5000 series. Which means any recs for any 5000 series or older will be ignored. Intel recs will be ignored as well. As I recently heard that something wonky is going on right now with Intel CPU’s that making them unstable. Besides, AMD is the better choice for gaming anyhow. Especially once I can upgrade to the Ryzen 7 7800x3D and RX 7900 XTX.

Pickup a video card with 24GB of Vram and maybe then you will notice that the system ram is way below 16gb of system ram. Thank you! The 13400F is just a down-clocked 12600KF, and you can get that for $150-ish right now and get better performance for less. No idea why they charge so much for the 13400F to be honest. I recommend going DDR4 as there really isn't much benefit to DDR5 and the boards are more expensive. The ASRock B660M is actually quite a good board for the 12600K. The PSU is the one component that ages the fastest, and I typically recommend just buying a new one (GPUs and CPUs by comparison can be good for decades). Hope that helps!

    I don't blame you for not wanting to spend the money on the 4090. The 7900XTX would be a great pair with the 7800X3D. So would the 4080 Super but it's a little more vs the XTX.

    That Big 4K TV officially supports AMD Freesync so logic would dictate a 16GB or better Radeon video card so that you can take advantage of Freesync. Thats a pretty big TV, is this gaming rig going to be setup in the living room or something? Don't use the smart function of the tv, use your pc and boot up the Brave Browser to watch videos. Depending on how this TV and PC is situated in the living room I highly recommend picking up a portable small table and a wireless gaming keyboard and a wireless gaming mouse and a wireless xbox controller. Bring up the table up to the TV screen to play certain video games because some pc games were never meant to be played from a couch that is too far back and the text is way too small to read. Also with the table close up to the TV you can get some productivity work done using the browser or office stuff or do some online shopping. Now if you have the TV mounted really high up then I suggest purchasing a small Standing Table and a Tall Height Drafting Chair like you see at some businesses or a Tall Height Kitchen Counter Chair. Have a good weekend and happy cinco de mayo =)

    Nice builds. Just note for Monitors MSI has 2 new 1080p ones and 1 new 4K for good prices and ASRock has 2 new 1440p ones for good prices. Reviews so far are good. For 1080p MSI has The G244PF E2 which is a 23.8 inch 180hz IPS Monitor for $120 The G274PF which is a 27 inch 180hz IPS Monitor for $150 For 1440p ASRock has The PG27QFT1B which is a 27 inch 180hz IPS Monitor for $189 The PG27QFT2A which is a 27 inch 180hz IPS Monitor for $191 The difference between the two is the PG27QFT2A comes with a stand that has an integrated Wi-Fi antenna. For 4K MSI has MPG 274URF QD which is a 27 inch 160hz IPS Monitor for $430

    Hey Jason. It’s almost time to upgrade for me. My system has 11900k, Asus Tuf RTX 3080ti, Asus tuff z690 plus wifi, Aresgame 1000w PSU, trident 32g of 4000 ddr4. Would the best bang for my 500-700 upgrade budget be to upgrade my CPU +Mobo or to go with a 4090? I’m willing to bet that the 3080ti with 11th gen is not the bottle neck. I think the bottle neck is the CPU, what are your thoughts? Can I squeak out more performance from my 3080ti with a new CPU or should I save up for a 4080 super? I play games like Deep Rock Glactic and Cyberpunk. I play on an LG oled TV so rez is 4K @60. I do use ray tracing. Please tell me what you think would be my best path for upgrade?

    Your build is too new and already upper tier. I would wait for next year because both amd and intel are coming out with new chips and intel coming out with a whole new LGA Motherboard platform. Avoid the 4090 it is highly unreliable with tons of cracked circuit boards and the gpu chips are being torn off and the 12v plug is catching fire. As far as your aresgame 1000watt power supply you need to replace it immediately, the PSU TIER LIST has blacklisted that manufacturer, go pickup something from the Tier C list ASAP

    @@MrSamadolfo the Corsair RM 1000e is 140 from Newegg. Would you recommend this PSU? Why is the Asesgaming on the blacklist? Questionable parts? Seems to be working fine but I am not one to wait until it fails. Thank you for letting me know. I had an exploding gigabyte before this one. Seems my choice for PSUs are not so good.

    @@douglasturman635 I checked tomshardware, they opened up an aresgame, the layout of the circuit board is an outdated design, maybe like from i7-4790 Haswell Era, it uses some of the old school bulky chinese capacitors brown black instead of the modern smaller silver capacitors from japan. And when they load tested it its not 80 Gold but 80 White or Bronze. If its working fine then keep it around for emergency backup use only and for testing a used motherboard to see if it boots up. Yes the corsair RMe 1000w is the cheapest tier A psu and in the box it should have the invdia cable for the new RTX 40 cards. There three other psu that are slightly more money from Tier A and they all seem to have the invidia cable included in the box: Montech Titan Gold, NZXT C Gold 1200W, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1200W, thers a few more on the Tier A but rite now they are double the price. Prices fluctuate so you might want to check all the online stores but right now as of today the cheapest listing is the Corsair RM1000e and its a very recent offering from only last year 2023, don't forget to pickup some colored AsiaHorse psu cable extensions, i like white or red or blue =)

    The budget CPUs start to run into a wall right around the 7900 GRE / RTX 4070 (NVIDIA driver overhead really starts to hurt these CPUs). At that point we want to go AM5 or unlocked 13th/14th gen intel (13600K). But that is about a $200 cost increase to the platform on average, so we jump up to more like $1100 to get a Ryzen 7600 / RX 7800 XT. Hope that helps!
