In the 70s as a kid. My mom took me and my brother to one of her favorite Saimin hole in the wall place that use to be located on North King St. It’s now a pawn shop, Castle Goi. I can still see that place in my mind. My mom would always play 2 songs on the jukebox called, “On and On,” by Stephen Bishop and the 2nd was always a random song. Most Saimin restaurants had a jukebox in the 70s and probably early 80s. I was recently at Jane’s Fountain and it flooded my mind w many warm memories. I pray they never change their interior. It’s genius and I’m sure it keeps bringing back customers of the good old days and also millennials and the next generation as well. Thank u for such great food videos of Hawaii!

When it comes to expensive dates Sean you said it right as long as you're with good company and you are having a good time the expense of the date doesn't matter. At the end of the day it's all about the quality time you spend with your loved one. I have to tell you though watching you guys eat snacks sitting on top of Makapu'u is a great date simply because you guys are building memories and creating a bond of love and appreciation for one another. Which is special my friend extremely special I've been married for 18 years now so I have little insight on this.

My family makes fun of me because I LOVE mac salad and I LOVE corn off the cob. I'll side these with hamburger meat or even a steak. And if there's a sauce involved, I'm in heaven. And that coke float looked AMAZING. Call me low class, but I would have tipped that saucer full of float back and finished it off. I will definitely visit Jane's Fountain when I'm on Oahu. As for Mina's Fish House, I would definitely have to be on a date for that one. It looked absolutely impressive and delicious. Several years back, we had dinner at a Los Angeles French restaurant called L'Orangerie. The bill for that was $720, so Mina's would take a little bit of the sweat off my brow. As usual, a great video with things I can try when I return to the island. So, I'm sure you've tried Monkeypod Kitchen. What did you think?

Sean. You should have gone to Aulani and had dinner at Ama Ama. We went to both Mina's Fish House and Ama Ama last year. Ama Ama service was excellent and the food was amazing. Mina's was good but not amazing and cost more. Thanks for the fun vlog.

@@SeanKaleponi Well, it actually makes more sense. If I somehow managed to get a $5000/night penthouse, I'm staying there 24/7!! As long as a room is clean and roomy space-wise, I'm good. The only time you spend in a hotel room is to shower and sleep anyway.
