I remove bits of trash from my vehicle (cups, wrappers, receipts, etc) while I’m filling the gas tank. Tidy vehicle and keeps it out of the house. I also keep a swiffer duster in one of the door pockets. I dust the dashboard when I have a few minutes like when I’m waiting for someone or stuck in traffic. Thank you for a lovely, awesome video.

My best friend's car is so cluttered with useless, half-broken junk, that I don't even want to drive with her. I've told her a few times that I'll help clean it with her, but all I get for an answer is, "Whatever." When she goes to pay for something, her bag is so stuffed with junk, it takes her forever to even find her money. I'm giving thought to how someone's clutter can affect a friendship.

I agree with you. I had a very good friendship for a lot of years, then we lost touch for quite a while. After finding her again, we reconnected and started hanging out. She invited me to her home and , upon walking in, her house smelled so badly of cats (and what they produced) I couldn’t even accept a refreshment. Her home was cluttered with crap, but her cats visiting the litter box and then walking on top of tables and countertops did it for me.

Be patient with her, if she's a good friend. Good friends are hard to come by, honestly. Try to lead by example. And, do let live win, in this case. Everyone is different.

That’s not „clutter“ that’s „junk, trash and dirt“. You can have a cluttered home like my mum has, it’s extremely cozy and decorated, clean and smells good. my mum has cute things everywhere, tons of DIY decor, plants, memorabilia, photos over photos….

She sounds stuck and in denial that her untidiness is an issue. Until someone can see themselves, and can admit to a problem, and the psychological cause, they may not accept help. You could have a heart to heart offer of help, or a “let’s try this together” and rely on each other as a team, without shame. But first I recommend the non-judgmental and fun “clutter bug” test to learn what her personal brain re: stuff and organization is all about. Check out Cass, who created the method. It helped me a lot.

I thought of cleaning tools unless that was already said. Lol. And Bcuz I’m so bad about that. Brooms, mops, vacs, steamers, swiffer type things. I have quite a collection by now. 😅😅 In the past I guess I felt like I’ve never found “the one” so I’d buy all these diff things to try out. Not sure if my problem is that esp I hate mopping. Lol. And I often wind up using a simple broom (or the rubber pet hair broom and my stick vac or the vac with the hose). So whatever the “revolutionary” product is, I’d be putting it off anyways. Lol. The “easy ones” are very easy and fast, but it doesn’t feel “clean” to me. Feels more like get by half ass for now. The ones that really get the grime take a lot more time or effort or are bulky and heavy. Don’t like that either. Maybe I’ll figure it out one of these days. Lol.

Old planners & diaries: there are only 14 different calendars. So an old planner can be used again - just replace the year. Okay these may be cheap enough just to get the correct year. Some diaries may have interesting features like the quote of the day or gardening planning notes. If you can use it next year and save getting a new one. If 10 years for the days to match it isn't worth hanging onto. {e.g. 2023 is the same as 2017, 2006,1995, 1989 - if you have already hung onto a 2017 unused planner another 8 months is nothing. My unused diary is 2006. Lol}.
