I remember one time I was being friendly fired by someone so I took there weapon. Eventually we votekicked them. I really hate it when people (especially little children who probably should be on a junior account) friendly fire and then don’t revive.

Question: Rec Room should add a player count for the amount of players in a room, so you know who is in there before you join. Sometimes when I'm playing games on Rec Room that encourage or straight up require multiple players to work, I have to join to figure out if players are in there or not (usually in the smaller ones there aren't). I know this isn't that big of a deal, but it is also very simple to what I'd imagine it to be to make it work. Simply having an int count up and down when people join that and leave that game can tell you who is in there, so that when you click on the game you're not forced to join in order to see if anybody is actually in there.

I know the answer to the 1987 question... The phrase "Virtual Reality" was first uttered in 1987 when Jaron Lanier, founder of Visual Programming Lab's, coined the term 'virtual reality' attempting to depict the behavior of his company's new gear designed to place the user inside of the computer world in a similar fashion as how it was depicted in the first TRON move. Yeah, thank you for appreciating that - it does take a long time to film these types of videos because I have to find suitable rooms, and scenic spots within the rooms to set up the streamer cam! 😅

The Quest Ban wave is because of a new rule to get people under 13 off Quest for some reason so they had to or ALL quest players would lose the game because Meta would take it off the store.

To Tarapeutic: The reason why there are no junior account s on Quest 2 Is because Meta wants to double down on being a 13+ only device, so they threatened Rec Room by saying "if you don't remove junior accounts, we will remove you from the meta store" So they did, knowing 99% of the player base are quest users.

@@xxx_forniteGOD_12342xxx Meta is a company, it doesn't really care about societal good, they just wanna avoid future lawsuits, companies exist for there own benefit, not to make the world a better place It seems like a much safer position for meta so now if anything goes wrong legally meta has the defence of "We were taking action against ---- before _____, We took action to make sure children under 13 were not using our vr headsets"

I think I know why Meta Quest 2 banned Rec Room Juniors, It's maybe because of kids eyesight being effected by virtual reality, There could be white neon screens, Epilepsy, and flashing lights. When I first got my VR they said to be over 13+ to play, But obviously kids break the rules of age restriction and make it look like they are old.

2:36 for streamer cam on pc you need 2 monitors. On the quest standalone, you cant really have 2 monitors

fun fact the maker pen courses were added into the creator college thing i forget what its called but they do exist along with a circuits class aswell.

For the orientation thing. Some people even make force kick guns to send people back to orientation and if you get sent to orientation by those guns you loose youre watch wich means you have to redo orientation completely

#18 1:30 your question for banning juniors, I have your answer. Meta has always had the rule NO PLAYERS UNDER 13, so Meta essentially demanded that Rec Room remove junior accounts form all Meta devices, or Rec Room would be removed off of their play store. Kind of sad, but respectable decision.

I think i have part of the answer to question 20, When I first played rec room, the first rro I went on was crimson cauldron and I noticed immediately how similar it was to an old wii u exclusive game I use to play called 'Nintendo land'. Basically, it is a game that consists of lots of mini games based on Nintendo's actual games but there are 2 in particular that tie in with this story; 'Legend of zelda battle quest' (golden trophy and crimson cauldron) and 'metroid blast' (jumbotron) I'll start with Battle quest. The reason I think that GT and CC are similar to this is because of the way you progress through the levels, the types of enemies you face and the weapons you use. First of all, the main difference between Battle quest and the rr quests is the fact that in Battle quest, you face pigs but in the rr quests you face goblins. I think this is because if they did pigs in the rr quests it would just look like a straight rip off so they had to change it up but make it memorable. Now I'll talk about the similarities of the two games. They both have swords, shields and bows (I know rr has wands, crossbows and potions too but as I said earlier, they've got to make it not look like a straight up rip off). They also have quite a few very similar enemys such as ground units, stronger ground units, shield units, huge strong units you have to hit from behind ect. But the thing most similar is the cc boss/ those magic bird thingies. They both shoot a projectile that you have to knock back at them with a sword multiple times and they also both summon units. (The bird's units are the exact same thing as the swooping bats in crescendo of the blood moon btw). Finally about Battle quest is the way you progress through rooms in both of them. They both require everyone in the team to stand on something that opens the door in front of them. I know that would probably be in a lot of multiplayer quest games but something about it makes it seem so similar. Now, onto metroid blast. I don't have as much to say about this one because it is not as similar to jumbotron as Battle quest is to the other two quests but, there is one particular level that feels very similar to the jumbotron boss fight. It is against an enemy called kraid (I think) where the battleground is build around him. He has certain weak spots (like how jumbotron's has screens to shoot), can shoot at you and also summon his minions to attack you and lastly they both have fazes. Some answers cus im bored Crescendo on Quest 2: The Quest 2 is just a mobile phone really, it physically cant run it with all the fog, particles and big the levels. Junior accs being removed on Meta platforms: Meta doesnt want to get into legal issues with parents, so they made Rec Room, and other games with the option of being under the age of 13, remove the feature. Streamer cam on Quest 2: there is no second screen to cast the camera to. Is coach real or just a TTS: yes shes a real person :) . Does Rec Room think they're better than Roblox: given that they have better moderation, dont sue random KZreadrs for warning about potential terrorist attacks, and not having as much pedos on the platform, yes they think they are better.

2:36 there is no streamer cam on Q2 because recording only shows what the lenses see, and it would be weird if you has to see what the streamer cam is seeing through your lenses

I worked for recroom from 2020 to 2021 and the reason we dont have streamer cam on quest to is because there’s nowhere to put the video and the reason we don’t have more rec royal maps is because the one we have right now takes up so much data and adding another makes it worse

I can answer one of these questions. Junior Accounts were eliminated on quest 2 because to use a quest 2, you are supposed to be over 13.

as much as streamer cam would be cool on quest 2, there doesn't appear to be a simple way to implement it. It would most likely have to be a whole other application, or some how a way to hijack the casting site, which i doubt would happen anytime soon

For the person wondering why its called Rec Room: Its cause Rec (Normally) Stands for Recreation which in this case would mean "Activity done for enjoyment when one is not working" For an explanation of basically, Rec Room (or Recreation Room) Is a game of which you go do things and play, and that's exactly what Rec Room is... SO think of it as a game to Play with others and Play Boardgames, In VR. (You get the point)

the quest two standalone streamer cam is obvious and not at the same time, one hand performance. my dedicated gpu struggles with streamercam. second output. where would the output be? its the reason you need a second monitor on screen to use streamercam.

I’d assume that the reason for no streamer can in q2 is because it’s be displayed on the headsets displays, but not an external monitor/source

Ok so I'll say this for the 3rd bonus question, and yes there is a new invasion event coming sometime this month, Sk0l had made a video on it and where it's as, and also Tara I feel like so much of this could be answer by the simple answer that, most old systems just arnt powerful, because even though yeah quest 1 players dont really exist anymore, they still have to make sure stuff like mobile, psvr, quest 1 and 2, and some older systems are the reason why so many things have changed, and I also want to answer the question, no rec room will never bring back the old UI

I’m here to answer the Crescendo question. A while ago in a gribbly ama someone asked him if it would ever be on the quest 2. His words were “That seems cool! But won’t happen because it is a very performance heavy quest and will lag the headset pretty badly.”

I think the coach account is run by a server (a thing that handles players blah blah) and on those servers and the maps that coach has posted (idk )

The reason they chose the name recroom.. is because a rec room is a room where you go do like sport activity related stuff.. and that used to be what recroom was.. just a rec center with doors that go the the RROs like disk golf and paddle ball
