A couple of ideas I had for kingdoms were: Computer kingdom - takes place inside a motherboard or the internet or something like that, and Mario can walk around the circuits and wires and stuff. The electricity lines would play a big part in the kingdom of course bazaar kingdom - it would be like the shy guy bazaar track in Mario kart 7 but a whole kingdom Neo city kingdom - a futuristic city kingdom that has stuff like flying cars and what not. Maybe it could even take place or take inspiration from neo bowser city from Mario kart 7 and 8 Jungle kingdom - pretty self explanatory And finally, a mountain kingdom - like the mountain levels from new super Mario bros, or maybe it could even be a fusion of those and warios gold mine, that would be cool.

@@CMAATN true, but I’m talking about a full on jungle, like the levels in new super Mario bros, or perhaps with ancient ruins and stuff like that.

I'd like to see a kingdom based of Rock Candy Mines from New Super Mario Bros U with all those switches that extend and contract certain blocks.

I'd love to see a kingdom wich is just a giant maze. The people living there have adapted to the confusing and ever changing nature of their world. It would be fun to try to find your way out and discover what lies beyond the exit.

It would be AWESOME to see Subcon be implemented into the franchise again!

If Super Mario Odyssey 2 ever happens, I imagine it having tons of new kingdoms while also having all of the kingdoms from the first game returning, but with all of it's places returning while adding new places in them.

Odyssey 2 has Sooooooooo much potential. Combine especially if they add in Cloud City as a playable world and use a lot of Spacey/Galaxy vibes.

Disco Kingdom: Based on Electrodrome from Mario Kart 8. The kingdom would have lots of bright lights, loud music, dancing, and disco balls. Since Larry was the DJ in Electrodrome and Roy seems like the guy that would love to dance in a disco dance party they could be characters that have a roll in this kingdom. Arcade Kingdom: This is basically a kingdom centered around video games… in a video game. Mario would go against rivals in video games. Many of the games would be past Mario games. Just imagine two N64s and you have to be the first to get King Bob-omb star in Bob-omb Battlefield literally against King Bob-omb himself holding a N64 controller. Magic Kingdom: It would take place in a mansion/castle like house with chandeliers and bookcases. There could be different color magikoopas that use different kinds of magic. The magikoopas could turn the room upside down, cover the floor in lava, flood the room, make the objects come to life, etc. Kamek would be in charge of this kingdom. He would either be a boss (if Bowser is the antagonist) or an NPC (if there is another antagonist). Beach Lagoon Kingdom: It would be like a tropical Hawaiian resort kingdom with leis, palm trees, cabanas, hula dancers, and piers. You could ride on dolphins and swim in the colorful tropical reefs. Mario Kart Kingdom Science Kingdom Museum Kingdom Subway/Underground Kingdom Shopping Mall Kingdom 60s/70s Themed Kingdom Water Park Kingdom

Rather than a holiday kingdom, I think it would be fun if they released a short (Bowser’s Fury length) Christmas themed game. It would be something fun to replay every year at Christmas time.

Here's my personal suggestion for a kingdom, I'd love if they did something like this: Mushroom War Kingdom: A really grim kingdom where the objective is to stop a war between Shy Guys and Koopa Troopas. You'd be in a really desolate and grey area full of smoke, burned down trees, trenches, bunkers, etc.. You'd be able to pick a side on the war and try to resolve it from that angle (making this kingdom's narrative and progression completely different depending on the side you pick). The setting would be snowy and creepy. In order to censor the guns I'd make them shoot bubbles rather than bullets that have the ability to make enemies become stuck in them and their design would be based on the bubble guns from Super Mario Galaxy (the enemies would also be able to throw Bob-Ombs). I always thought this kind of serious setting along with creepy music would work really well in contrast to most happy Super Mario levels. Before entering the war area I'd also do some areas where you'd be able to explore the destroyed towns of each side of the war and a giant base where you'd have to sneak around to collect an important item to stop the war (making it a stealth area which is rarely seen in Super Mario) and if you were found you'd be thrown out.

A haunted kingdom could work as a kingdom you crash land into, like the Ruined Kingdom or Forgotten Isle. Also, a Mountain kingdom would be cool as well.

An actual haunted kingdom would be so cool! I hope Nintendo makes a sequel or DLC for Mario Odyssey with new kingdoms (I mean we got DLC for mario kart and that's about the same age)

There already is, you have to find it from a painting in luncheon kingdom.

I definitely would like a village of some sort. French Swiss, Toad, any cute village! And a jungle one. Perhaps a nod to Donkey Kong

i had an idea called the throwback galaxy where you spawn on a green platform and theres a buncg of piped that have logos next to them (eg: super mario 64, super mario galaxy) Each of them would send you to an area (for example super mario 64 would send you to tall tall mountain maybe.) and for the story you would try to unlock each pipe.

Me and my best friend were talking about how Banshee Boardwalk is a great Mario Kart track. And then we realized... IT WOULD BE SO COOL TO HAVE A HAUNTED BOARDWALK KINGDOM! I forgot the other notes I had except that the big boss was this horrifying boo amalgamation. If I find them, I'll report back here.

An idea for a mechanic is to be able to do things inside your ship while your flying and have a button to go land when you’re done.

If Sun is the last kingdom, the other planets (not just earth) could be in the game too including Ceres between Mars and Jupiter and even Pluto and Eris( this last two maybe together).

These are such good ideas. I may or may not use these in my games.

We could have an entire space travelling kingdom, with Mario capturing a rocket and flying to different planets in our universe

I would prefer a game based around the gameplay we seen in Bowser's Fury. Cappy was fun, but I prefer traditional powerup based gameplay and Bowser's Fury showed that it is possible to use it in open world game.

I would like to see a Windmill Kingdom, featuring tulips and wooden shoes.

Man I really hope they make a sequel. Odyssey is my most played game on the switch by far

my ideas for kingdoms: -Mirror Kingdom: this kingdom is a castle full with mirrors that transports you into other zones of the castle and some crazy stuff happens, it could take inspiration by Alice in Wonderland. -Retro Kingdom: a kingdom of 2d sections -Mini Kingdom: a garden pikmin like full of giant spiders and objects where mario is so little -Night ice ocean kingdom: a ocean full of icebergs and a village with a mountain that have a pretty scary boss, is like a bigger and more fleshed out snow kingdom -Yoshi Island Kingdom -The Deep Water Kingdom: a kingdom fully develop in the bottom of the ocean, mario will encounter scary enemies and weird stuff while collecting the power moons. -A painted kingdom made of oil -A proper cloud kingdom with lakitu being the main gimmick and a boss inspired by jack and the beanstalk

Idea: cloud kingdom, but actually has content such as bouncy clouds that let you reach even farther in the sky, could have a nice battle against bowser with that maybe

I would like a Mars kingdom, maze kingdom, Pluto kingdom, detective kingdom, a space management kingdom where you have to solve space problems like saving earth from an asteroid or something, and finally a flooded kingdom where you find what is causing the flood and try to remove it.

I think it would be cool if there was like an anatomy kingdom like what was in bowsers inside story where mario is inside a persons body and can kinda control what happens in there like bring back the mechanic where the person drinks water and it raises the water level in the body and also maybe they can take inspiration from rick and mortys anatomy park and make the enemies diseases or viruses

I have this lined up in my head rn: we get a theme park kingdom and in that kingdom there is also an arcade. in the arcade there is waluigi pinball, and somehow you get sucked in (whether its playing the pinball, throwing cappy at it, etc..) and it includes a boss fight inside of it.

It would be super cool if the Koopalings and the Broodals were in the game!

What if the theme of Odyssey 2 was time travel - Bowser’s kids are back and have captured different versions of Peach from all past Mario games. The Odyssey becomes a time machine and you have to revisit old Mario games to rescue Peach. A 3D open world version of Mario 1, Mario 3, even Donkey Kong, Mario Land 2 etc. etc.

I've got one: Season kingdom, there's 4 places in the kingdom. Summer, Spring, Autumn and winter. In each place, Mario is either hot, warm, cold, or freezing. There's at least 5 moons in each place. Where I think a moon should be in the Season kingdom: In the Winter area, Mario has to build a snowman to get a moon.

A boss fight with Bowser at the sun would be so cool

Bob-Omb Kingdom, Whomp's Kingdom, Cold Cold Kingdom, Jolly Rodger Kingdom, Wet Dry Kingdom... (basically I just want to be able to go into the paintings in Peach's castle again)

I think Pluto would be a better way to end the game but damn the sun would be great fought

Here's my suggestion: What if Nintendo & SEGA collide again to make a SEGA Kingdom in Odyssey? But then again, the Olympic Games was already enough, plus Mario & Sonic live in different worlds. Idk, but it's up to them and i respect them as a fan.
