I did find a perfect brown spray paint on Amazon for gingerbread projects, and it's so much more affordable, too. I used it to make gingy stove burner covers for Christmas in July if you're interested in watching it. 🥰🥰🥰

gingerbread ... Gingerbread ... GINGERBREAD When you pick a theme you go all out. That's devotion! I love that you have included your grandchildren as your Gingerbread people. In this video (and I'm less than halfway through) I really like them included on the peppermint risers. I think your peppermint trees are adorable and very creative. They are perfect to go with your houses. Speaking of your houses I think the Peppermint ones are inspired. Everyone knows gingerbread houses. Those I expected with your Gingerbread theme. And when we first saw the undecorated ones after you had painted them I thought there was no way they could measure up to the peppermint ones. And as good as they are that's true... UNTIL you put them together ... and add the trees, the risers, and all the other peppermint adornments. That's when they all came alive. They look great together! How big did you say your kitchen is??? Once these all are in will you have any room to cook any real gingerbread or anything else for that matter? LOL. There is still ⅔ of the video yet to watch. Maybe not tonight. Tomorrow. Can't wait to see what else your Gingerbread and peppermint imagination has come up with. Now, just a couple of other comments. Your windmill ... not my favorite. But kudos for the attempt. Perhaps if the hydrant had been taller- but finding something for that would have been quite difficult to find. I've never worked with the Dollar Tree pre-cut fabric assembly kits like the two different gingerbread pieces you worked with. It looked like the fabric was very stiff, almost as if it had been starched or had some stiffening agent added when the fabric was created. If that was so, and if you use something like it again, you may want to try rolling the fabric up kind of like sausages in both directions. Maybe even crosswise too. This might break down some of the stiffness and allow them to look more plush, soft and cuddly. We work with what we can get, what we can improvise and possibly improve. Of course, if these felt like gingerbread people will be played with by your grandchildren they may turn out soft and cuddly after all.

Wow, Deborah, what an amazing comment. I enjoyed reading it. I appreciate you watching. Spoiler alert....you get a kitchen reveal at the end of the video. Lol! Also, I do leave the majority of my gingerbread decor up all year. I do dedicate a smaller counter for my love for bees and lemons during the Spring/Summer. I just do what brings me joy, and hubby accepts my style. Lol! The grandkids love it, too. 🥰🥰🥰 Some of the DT fabric can be a bit stiff, but I just worked with some really soft DT fabric on my first Christmas in July video this month. I even made a bow with some of the fabric strips. You can see how soft and floppy the fabric is. It just depends, I guess, but it's a great tip. 🥰🥰🥰

Can you mix white and a dot of pink puffy paint to make pale pink? I haven’t seen it in pale pink or pale blue? Loving every one of your Gingerbread videos. I have saved them all.

Awww, thank you so very much, Judy! 🥰 I've actually made a pale pink puffy paint by adding some Waverly Chalk Paint in Ballet Slipper in a bottle of white puffy paint that was almost finished. You know, once a bottle of puffy paint gets low enough that it begins to squirt out air bubbles, it's empty. That's the perfect time to add a color of paint of your choice and make a customized puffy paint. Try it. 🥰🥰🥰

Your imagination, talent, and patience are wonderful. I love them all. I’d love to make at least some of them….but we have ONE "Dollarama" which charges 3 - 5 dollars for things….and has NOTHING we need. No tower blocks, no burner tops, no pizza pans, no gingerbread cookies, no house pieces, etc. soooo frustrating. Our Walmart has nothing for crafters.

Also, if you go to Dollar Tree right now and find the small pink bottle brush Christmas trees that come three in a pack for the Christmas village, the bases of those trees are these exact plastic peppermints, if you're interested in a more Dollar Tree budget friendly opinion. I just noticed them this year. 🥰🥰🥰
