I love this program. I love Sandi I actually named my Puppy after her. They have very similar characteristics: funny, tiny, cheeky and great heart. ❤😂
Ive loved Sandy since No 73 back in the 80s it must have been. She has a way about her and i knew she was one of the few people who could carry the show after stephen left.

14:30 min mark...This happened to me and my mum ! I lost my brother [Scott] in 2008 and like Stephen I too can not bring myself to delete his contact details. Whilst waiting at the hospital once with my mum I stumbled across late brother's details so I cheekily said to mum "Let's ring Scotty !" and so we did. ( Bear in mind this took place about 6-7 years after brother's passing ). Ring, ring...ring, ring..."hello" ! OH ! wasn't expecting it to be answered so was already thrown. "Ummm, is Scott there please ?" I asked in all silliness with my mum laughing beside me. Well fuck me what happened next had all 3 of us, mum, me & the mystery caller, wetting our pants with laughter !! After asking for Scott, the response I got from the other end was ; "Speaking"...!! 👀 !!! 😂 Short story long, just a helluva coincidence in the end. We ALL had a good chuckle after we explained what we were doing and my 'new' brother Scott even invited us to stay if we were ever in town ❤ Long Live Dead Contacts 😅

The reason we dont have mixer taps in England is because hot water comes mainly through a copper tank when being heated whereas cold water mainly comes through plastic pipes so is more fresh as it is drinking water..!
@TheUberjammer

To clarify, the above is meant to describe pre-brexit life. Obviously after Brexit, the hot water tank and tap were eliminated altogether and replaced by the heat from the decay of an iceberg lettuce.
@Pippis78

Our warm and cold water also come from separate pipes - doesn't stop leeding them into one tap. You can still get only (drinkable) cold water out of it.
@Padraigp
5 ай бұрын
That's not the reason. Mixer taps also have two taps one nfor hot one for drinking water at least in the kitchen. But the middle tap part is shared so that you can have either hot or cold or both together to make warm or like warm or quite hot but not scalding hot. And most people have mixer taps these days right? Even irish people got those in the 1980s.

Oddly enough, when they were talking of deleting (or not being able to delete a person on their contact list), I actually forgot that they reuse those phone numbers. My Mum passed away and I couldn't delete her contact number. One day when I was really sad and missing her, I sent that number a text to that effect. I got a reply from a very kind person letting me know that I have the wrong number. So, I explained and they were so kind and told me that anytime I feel sad and miss Mum, I can send them a text and they'll be happy to talk to me. 😊
In the film Airplane, the man who talks to the passenger flying the airliner was Robert Stack, not Lloyd Bridges, although he too, was in the film.

Oh Alan, you are so amusing......
The reason the UK has two taps (not everywhere but in most older buildings) is because hot water was traditionally stored in a tank in the attic where it was at risk of gathering dirt (from insects, rats, mice, etc.) and was therefore suitable for washing but not for drinking and therefore couldn’t be mixed with the cold water. You’re not supposed to use the taps whilst running if you want pleasant warm water, you’re supposed to pour a bowl of it.
