You can really tell 50 had his own sound. This was a 1999 album and everything else was following several trends. But 50 sounds a lot different in his 99 album versus the rest of the field; ie ruff ryders sound, bad boy, jermaine dupri, future digital sound, etc

I remember hearing this after "get rich or dying trying" came out thinking to myself that this album was dope. But I guess with no promos lack of distribution this is what happens... Albums like this slip through the cracks and become regional hits.. In all honesty though, don't even know if that happened. 50 always dropping heat shit.

tomcookies90 JMJ didnt get killed for this song. 50 getting shot for this is debatable too. Preme actually recorded the intro to this song in the first version sayin “this is our quran. Our story” or some shit like that. So i doubt he got shot for this song like people say. He def got shot, because he was fucking up Murda Ink money, which preme used to launder his dough.
