You're the man Scott, and you did finish exactly were you were supposed to this time. Thats a real humbling perspective and that's so awesome you saw it that way.

A class act in every way a man is remembered by his character, integrity who is humble and displays the true nature of a Christian human being! In 53 years old and you had me rewarded up at the end saying what you did to take the third place finish and see two other young anglers continue to shine you have my utmost and total admiration! I’m beginning my own journey starting this next year in kayak bass fishing tournament I’ve looked at many anglers who I watch and enjoy their channels, but I have to say after binge watching you’re videos this one is in the top of my favorite and most inspirational video! I can't say enough about what a genuine, humble, inspiring, class act you are Scott. More people in this world should watch your vids and not just for the great fishing content, but just to learn what it means to be a good human. Congratulations on the 3rd place finish but you finished first in class. Oh and looking forward to breaking an arm or my back this spring, cause I bought some bandito bugs for the spring 😂

These 2 open events have been a joy to watch Scott Martin. Now with 1 first and 3rd place the last open will end just like 1 of the first 2 you competed in. Then you can continue to carry these great tournament days into your elite schedule. Just let it happen and don't overthink or underestimate yourself ever and the results will come for you.

As a Canadian, Im supposed to cheer for Gussy, and while I love him. Scott you're an inspiration and by my most favourite Pro Fishermen, its because of you I started to pray again, the way you take kids out with you and make their lives, or the way you are with your fans or even competitors is awe inspiring, to hear a competitor who does this for a living be so stoked for another success at what is effectively a cost to themselves is amazing!

Great tournament Scott ! It’s amazing how having confidence in a bait pays off time and time again ! I have a couple baits like that ! Winning a boat then a truck and several big bass and top 5 finishes ! When you have that confidence going in makes all the difference. Congratulations agin !! Time for a well deserved break ! Dude 3rd ain't bad, man I'll say it again I sure am glad to see you with those lews rods and reels in your hands, I think that has greatly improved your hook up and landing ratio. I'll admit I was one of the guys that would have sworn that it was your hooks last year, with the amount of fish you lost, I guess I owe trokar an apology. I believe you are a force to be reckoned with at your current set up, I have always been a fan and have been choked up right there with you when you lost fish. But I believe after seeing this that those rods you were using were definitely the culprit.. Ps we need a Martin, Airy, Canterbury and Gman bunk house even if it's just for one tournament I think the comedic value would be off the charts 😆😆

If you ever run out of ideas for your SMC show I’m a critical care paramedic. You could do a first responder challenge. If not that ok. Just food for thought. I love your channel. My son and I watch all your shows together. They are educational and family friendly. That’s hard to come by these days.
