@danielhoward4566 because like soda it's a diuretic and eliminates water from tte body so whenever you drink caffeinated things you must double up on your consumption of water.

@@loism1965 So if one did drink water after drinking coffee because the diuretic effect made them thirsty then coffee would be okay to drink? Are all diuretics bad like the ones given to people who have high blood pressure?

But are we talking about raw spinach or just spinach in general? Because I typically hear it's the raw stuff, that has a lot of oxalates. I've stopped spinach but I was only eating the cooked version in recent times.

Kinda weird she didin't mention any oxalate rich foods since calcium oxalate stones account for 80% of kidney stone cases. Spinach Chocolate Many seeds and roots veggies (like potatoes)

@@infiniteworfare5089 I'm really not sure what I ate that caused mine . I like spinach but I didn't eat it that often. My dad had kidney stone problems and so did my uncle. I think it could be a genetic tendency for some people. I was bad about drinking enough water so that also may have been what caused mine. I try to sip water all day now. Drink water with lemons, my urologist said it helps to dissolve small stones and prevent new ones from forming.

Postintervention GFR comparisons indicate that HP diets result in higher GFRs; however, when changes in GFR were compared, dietary protein had no effect. Our analysis indicates that HP intakes do not adversely influence kidney function on GFR in healthy adults.

You are spouting the unsubstantiated claim that protein is hard on the kidneys. There's no science that backs that up. "Too much" is also a ridiculous guideline to give. Then you sort of qualified your statement by saying everyone is different in their needs. Why didn't you mention processed foods, period? I'd ask why you didn't talk about what you should be eating/drinking, but you've probably been brainwashed into thinking low saturated fat is the way to go, another unsubstantiated claim that has been debunked.

Your protein needs are based directly on your height & weight and activity level. Read The Zone by Dr. Sears. He was the doctor for Gold medal winning Standford women's swim team. He evaluated what diet led athletes to be in the "zone" where they felt great and had top performance. He explains your biology and how what you eat affects it. You could aim for about 25 to 33% protein, about 30 fat (good fats), and 40 % carbs. Limit sugar and alcohol. Beware if you eat a lot of raw spinach because it has oxalate which are not good for kidneys or joints. You should eat quality protein and unfortunately vegetarian diet has pretty low quality protein.

All Dr's say what we can't eat and what we should eat but what is the exact meals to eat? I'm going crazy trying to fix meals 3 times a day I don't know what to do anymore. I also drink 8 16oz cups of water a day and I do not drink alcohol.
