5 Week Old Chicks - Introduction To Outside
It’s time to let our 5 weeks old baby chicks outside to free range for the first time! Join us as we bring our 10 chicks outside on the lawn for the first time to hunt for insects, forage for vegetation, and enjoy the beautiful day. Plus, they get to meet Sunny, our 2-year old lab mix whose job it is to keep potential predators out of the yard.
Join us on our journey to raising these baby chicks and watch them grow rapidly from week to week!

Chickens grow up so quickly, at 3 months they should be much bigger than that. Check out the 4 previous weekly videos if you want to see the weekly development for this group starting at week 1!

@@Gardinteam I have 13 month old chicken, that I bought from the store as chicks , also I have 2 month and 1 month chicks that I incubated from my eggs, the question is what kind of food do you give them or is the camera that makes them look big?

The camera might be making them look bigger! We feed them quality chick feed for their age but more and more of their diet is from free ranging as they get older and spend more time out. In our week 6 video you can see them with older chicks that are much bigger than them and those are still not fully grown but will give some perspective on their size!
