Here are 5 unique ways to power your camera for video work. I show you how to power the Sony FX3/Sony FX30 with external batteries, but you can really do most of these with any mirrorless camera out there from Canon, Sony, Blackmagic, Fujfilm, etc.

Thanks for watching! Yep, I tried to keep it really straightforward and just show what works for me when powering my cameras. I still want to try the v-mount battery on a belt! I think it could be a really good solution, especially when running a gimbal and you don't want to hold up all that weight in your arms.

Chadwin, thank you so much for making this video. Question regarding the bonus method: I have a FREEWORLD LUT 5 monitor with a DC Output 8V, and wondering if I can charge the camera through the monitor's NP-F battery? Not sure what accessory I would need to make this happen. DC to USB PD?
I’d use a powe bank to power my camera as I have a very good one - the problem is, my camera’s so old it doesn’t actually accept USB power lol 😅

Yeah, that's definitely a problem with the older cameras. My older models when I had them, like the Canon T3i and some others wouldn't accept USB power either. Hopefully your next camera upgrade does!
