There is also لم Lam for negation past tense. Lam Adros لم أدرس I didn’t study Lam Adh-hab لم أذهب I didn’t go Lam + Present verb = Negated past tense Arabic is such a rich language! Even though it’s my mother tongue but still it always impresses me with its structure! Thank you Maha 😃

But i have read لم negate with strictness/forcefully, and ما negate it normal. What about ? لا اکلتُ ولا شربتُ۔

Haroon Ahmad that works only in 3ammi Arabic (dialects). This lesson is for Modern Standard Arabic.

I was wondering if these same negations can be used to negate in the Shami dialects? I know colloquial and MSA are very different even in some areas of grammar
