Probably the absolute fastest way to defeat Marchenko in direct combat is to literally run right up to his face with the Devestator and unload. It'll put him down unbelievably quickly.

1. Turn on invisibility 2. Sneak close to Marchenko 3. Make few shots from Stun Gun 4. Knock him off while he is paralised. Less than 30 sec. Easiest bossfight in whole game series, but you need unlocked invisibility augmentation and few batteries to stay invisible.

Invisibility isn't even necessary : After the fight starts, just wait a few seconds until he reach the center of the room, facing you. Sprint next to him, use the stun gun just once and use a non-lethal takedown. That said, the easiest boss in the serie is Pieter Burke (In DXHR's Missing Link DLC mission).

Nanoblades work fine too, and have a fairly large hitbox. Two EMP mines and 3-4 Nanoblade shots took the man down.

Hide in vents, remote hack all the traps and poked out while invisible to destroy drones, then tranquil rifle followed by a takedown

So did I. After having played hiding myself during the game, I liked a rough battle with Marchenko

I remember the robots from the 1st game. There were ones that looked like ED209 from Robocop. Those were very tough. It was always cool to turn the tables and hack them and have them kill your enemies.

I was legit shocked how it easy it was for me to kill him. I was expecting a tough fight and all I did was fire my grenade launcher at him once and his body went flying lmao

Where did you get it

You can just use the Tesla Augment with the range upgrade(I think is needed) then you use an electromag bullet on the turret while you sprint towards him and you can take it down immediately. Fight can take like around 3 seconds.

Agreed. Marchenko is the easiest boss ever. I just turned left then right in hid and when he came to find me i threw an emp and took him down in like 10 secs this all hapenned

I should probably read the in-game mails better. Had no idea about the kill switch... Also, the hand-to-hand didn't work for me. It was the first thing I tried and no matter how well I EMPed him, he always blocked it.

Yeah you have to weaken him before you actually beat him up. Preferably with stun ammo and tranq rounds if you're going for Pacifist

I used 6 shots from the shotgun emp ammo and it worked fine

Thanks for this. Using the hacked turret helped me the most. I still had to finish him off but the turret did a lot of work

So what type of gun should I use to stun and take him down? And what type of grenades I should use on him?

I'm stuck with pretty much no ammo so that sucks... can't control drones yet or whatever.

I accidently got him to explode himself when he was shooting at me.

I didn't even know about the hacking device option on Machenko,that avoids so many annoying drawn out factors

I go into the air ducts, then go to hack the turrets and robots. After that, I use combination of mines, bombs, armor piercing rounds with the combat rifle or shotgun, with the enhancements, such as scope, etc. fighting from inside the air ducts for cover.

The best way to take down Marchenko (no matter lethal or non-lethal) is sneak to him using glass shield, shoot him few EMP rounds (from pistol, SMG, shotgun or Côté Azur rifle) and then quickly knock him out. I was able to do this in my first playthrough.

spamming Typhoon also works...

the first four are extra effort. I finished em with a good 'ol 1-2 combo.

For me i just use stun gun to stun him and than takedown it's take few seconds only but if you use combat gun or other lethel weapon it takes time to defeat him

i just hid in the air vent and used reaction time and my shot gun.

lol found a pretty great glitch, if you shoot him a few times and he starts to follow you, go to this room with a vent, you need the aug upgrade that lets u punch through walls, after that just hide there but just enough to let the guys "raycast hit you" basically letting him see you while staying away from taking damage, and he will keep shooting the plasma and eventually knock himself out.

First battle. Stockpile of 50 biocells with Max Rhino, just stand there tanking hits and shooting him. Second time, throw EMP grenade and takedown. yay for hoarder tendencies.

Like others have found, I accidently took ihm down really easily. I used my tesla augment which stuns him then you can just run up to him and to a hand take down

I got him by hitting the Typhoon RIGHT when he jumped up to the top of the stairs. Might be a glitch but hey, in my previous battles I did about 10 Typhoons on him and it wasn't enough, so I'll take the glitch and say that I just hit him during a moment of weakness! A surprise attack!

I died 5 times trying to use a emp (bullets and , gas grenade shotgun and a battle rifle, played again and I won using 5 sniper armor piercing bullets an emp and a gas grenade. I am pissed, still got the worst ending

I hacked all the drones but he wasn’t dead yet, I threw some emps and stun gun and he was down. Kept him alive this way so I had that going for me I guess

I didn’t know that this was the final boss he was soooooo easy the beat all you have to do is shoot him with a emp shot from a pistol then run up to him and knock him or kill him

I just max out the revolver and use armor piercing rounds.

He used the kill switch. At that moment he knew it was over. And it worked? He died? Just like that? Yup. Well... about 18 years later. That’s the thing about the kill switch - you never know when it’s going to take effect.

I hacked everything he had and then I started blasting while he was in the middle he was surrounded by everything and he dropped like a stick lol

1 peps. I took him down with 1 peps. Of course the charged one. But still. That PEPS is too OP.

Was a real shame all the multiple endings were lackluster.

I was going to hack his bots and turrets but then he walked into me. I panicked, shot him with an EMP round and knocked him out in hand to hand. It was completely underwhelming

Am I the only one who was like OH MY GOD WHAT SHOULD I DO so I ran into him and used the sleep takedown?? I was like MAN IS THAT IT? I felt so dissapointed with this boss, but now I see there were more interesting ways to defeat him. It'd have been better if it wasn't because of my stupidity lol

Another one is to have like 15 biocells and just hold up your Titan armor while you shove bullets into him Note: your should also have about 20 telsa shots to disable his Titan aug It's how I killed him

IT's so fucking lame, this boss, in this last mission, I had tons of ammo, on all guns, including a Big shotgun which I never used, and I simple took down the boss using the camouflage a pem shot with the pistol and then takendown, LAME!!

Daniel Maltez Dias I totally agree. The story was a big let down from Human Revolution and the boss battles where harder. This game was super easy and I didnt even get to utilize all my weapons and praxis.

I have neither the tesla nor any type of EMp, and i dont have the killswitch option... Guess it's time to reload an earlier save
