As someone with experience, I can confidently say that no, this is not true at all. If they say they hate you but still talk to you, it’s probably because they don’t want to be rude by ignoring you, not that they like you. What’s more common is fidgeting, maybe they start wearing colors similar to you, or suddenly becoming socially awkward when you start talking to them. (We’re usually not great at starting conversations, at least in my experience.)

For me 1.I get nervous around you 2.If I hear your name I will look at the floor or as far away as possible 3.I smile if I talk to you 4.I say I hate you and you are so annoying over again 5.I talk to you for no reason 6.I kick you really hard in the shin 🤣but always apologize 7.Don't admit it even after my friends tell you 8.Say repeatedly that I hate where I have been sat in a lesson if it is really close 9.I just stop talking to you at any point I feel uncomfortable 10.If I catch your eye I look away sheepishly

Tbh I'm gratefully that i have a girl in my class who likes me and she literally wrote "i love you" on her hand and i always wanna help her with math since every second the teacher helps her meaning she's really bad but even her friends ship me and her saying she has a crush on me and i have a crush on her:D
