At 29 years old, the award-winning journalist is one of the youngest news editors in the country. Qaanitah has covered some of the biggest news stories South Africa has ever seen, including on State Capture under the Guptas. She has also authored several books, including 'Eight Days in July', which documents the July 2021 riots sparked by the imprisonment of former President Jacob Zuma for contempt of court.
Qaanitah opens up about the critical role journalism plays in unearthing corruption and exposing other socio-economic problems in the country, as well as how she has used her career as a journalist to spark change and hold the powerful accountable.
