great advice thank you !! my biggest problem is just like you said character recognition. iv been setting up my 817 and tuning around the bands cause their is a few guys that iv found that must just be starting out cause their sending slow enough that i can pick out the characters that i know. im going to order up one of those v-band adapters and my very first cw key and probably my second (i want a straight key and a paddle both small for qrp/sota/pota). iv been practicing with morse mania on my phone and it great but id much rather be able to send with an actual key. the vband adapter works with the morse it app i can get on my phone. i watched your reveiw on the v-band adapter is their any other websites that work with it ?

I have only used it as stand alone because you can get on it and talk to other people. There is a V-band discord, I would also like to recommend two other sites. Rufzxp and morse runner are both good to improve ICR. I also highly suggest CW Academy if you can spare an hour a day. Gud Luck
