Credit Rent Boost: www.creditrentboost.com
First is to sign up for Creditrentboost.com, they allow you to report up to the last 24 months of your rent payments, to Transunion, and Equifax. This is a great credit hack that will increase your score from 30-100 points in as little as 2 weeks if you choose the highest plan. The great thing about creditrentboost is they don't show up as an hard inquiry on your credit report, so you get the benefits of a primary or tradeline without having to ding your credit score a few points for a hard inquiry.
Second is to pay down your revolving credit balances, this does 2 things for you it helps drop your credit utilization which accounts for 30% of your fico credit score. Also, it helps your payment history which accounts for another 35% of your credit score. The goal is to keep your credit utilization between 1-10%, So make sure you're saving money & paying down your loans, or credit card balances.
Third is to increase your credit limit, this accounts for 30% of your credit utilization, but also can account for another 10% if you're applying for "New Credit" Increasing your credit limit can be done in 2 different ways, you can first apply for a credit card increase of your limit, or you can apply for a new credit card. I recommend you apply for credit cards that you'rep reapproved for so that you get a instant approval. It's best to look for credit cards that have great welcome bonus, great credit card rewards, & great travel rewards.
Fourth is to look at your credit report for errors. About 25% of Americans have an error on their credit report, look out for fraud, duplicate accounts, and mis reported payments. This is important when you're looking to increase your credit score, I recommend that you check your credit report at least once a month so you don't have any errors. Last is to get added as an authorized user on someones credit card, this is a very easy way to boost your credit score if you have someone you can trust that has great payment history, high limits, and credit age. The great thing is they don't have to physically give you a credit card, you can just be added as an authorized user so you can seek all of the benefits they are getting for having a good credit score. This can improve someone who has a terrible score score fairly quickly.
Diy credit repair is a lot better then hiring a credit repair company because you're learning first hand about your credit, and how to grow your credit score. There is no other practice or training better than hands on training for yourself.
