Great video again! And so useful. Playing around with the bitrate can make all the difference for your eventual file size, but also for the export time.

What about fps? Does 60fps take much longer than 30fps export

It is such a coincidence, I've just been looking for how to render quickly in premier and your videos just pop-ups on my screen 😅 Thank you so much you're rockks 🙌🙌
Tip. Duplicate timeline before you flatten stacked layers.
I clicked this video faster than my Premiere exports, like *3 hours* after it went up. XD!

Super helpful bro! My render time is 2 hours for a 10 min footage because another youtuber advised to use higher than what youtube recommends in order to end up with a larger file on youtube's server after compression. My bitrate was set to VBR 1 pass at 10-25 MB/S! I guess it's only needed for fast action, but for talking heads, No Go.
Does premiere pro use the previews made in the sequence when u select "use previews" on export in H.264 format? Or does "use previews" only work when using uncompressed formats such as proress or gopro cineform? Plus in both instances the sequence settings match the export settings. PLEASE ANSWER. Thanks 😉
Helped me a lot! Thank you and keep up the great work.
Thanks for your advice 👍!!

Hello Jordy, I tryied the Set to frame size, but in my case using the last version of Premiere Pro 2019, it does the same as me choosing manually. When I choose the footage and click at SET TO... i shows the video going to 50 at the "motion" tab... it that right?
thank you for clear and detailed explaination

Exporting to the less compressed codec like cineform (which is gpu accelerated) or AVID or even PRORes is the best tips ever. I was blow away by how much performance had I gained.

Great tips. I learned a lot new about exporting. On the GH5 we can shoot 400 mbps, in Premiere should I set it to VBR 1 or 2 pass and set the minimum bitrate to 400 and the maximum to 400, or is it no point in doing so?
@dalestokes2789
5 жыл бұрын
There is no point in doing so. That number only applies to how much data the camera is recording per second. When you render a video you will choose a format that will be best for the platform that you intend that video for. Such as the youtube format, it has everything set so that the video can be streamed without too much fuss. You would need to research the different kind of codecs and containers to find out which are the highest quality if you wanted to go that way. When a camera records it records at a certain rate of data (400mbps for the GH5) basically giving you a lot of raw data to play with in an editing program. When you are rendering, you take the camera data, along with any changes made, effects added, etc, and then compress that into a single file. Most platforms require smaller file sizes in order to give the viewers the most stable, smooth, quality video playback as possible. You could go ahead and render a video into a large file size but most codecs that can do that are not readily available on your computers media player (some of them can be bought) and you will not be able to view the final video.

great video!
At 2:16, it's very important that you set the Format to the same codec you set your Sequence Previews to render out: ProRes 422. This needs to be a codec supported by smart rendering, not just any lightweight codec. Choices include, as you mention: ProRes, DNxHD, and GoPro Cineform. In the video you show that you are not set up quite right with the H.264 codec selected. The two issues with this "smart rendering" technique is that you should really render your entire timeline to get the fastest export speeds, unless they are actually IN the ProRes codec to begin with and have no effects applied. Otherwise...render at every opportunity. The other issue is the large file size, but after exporting your H.264 files from the ProRes master, you can safely delete preview files and the master.
Cool! I really need this
Hey was wondering, for 1080p 60fps gameplay do CBR 10 mb work well with the youtube compression?
Thank you for an amazingly useful video!

Good advices, but media encoder sometimes exporting with some missing files or troubles with audio, if it was a lot of layers...i dont know why, but when i do render in premiere after that without any changing, he makes it without bugs.
