Thanks for sharing your story! I have noticed the EU wishlist system is very different to what is happening in Asia and the US. You don't really have to go 1:1 but in Australia, Singapore and the US, the 1:1 system is in effect. Your Birkin is beautiful!

Great video! And gorgeous bag. To my knowledge you can renew your wishlist the day after if you don’t get your bag, if however you do then you have to wait a month after your purchase x

Congrats. I went to Lisbon 2 weeks ago to visit my in law. My husband asked for the B and the K. The SA said there is no stock and they stopped offering the wish list as there is a long list. She added that the store just delivered the bags to the customers who had been waiting for 2 years.🤔 She suggested me to go to Paris. It was a pity for me😔

The whole game is kind of silly to me but I have to admit that it’s the hunt that got me interested. I’ve always liked the Birkin but never gave any serious thought to getting one. But once I found out about the ridiculous process of trying to get one from a boutique, I decided I want to play this game too 😂

@@claudiakalkbrenner4148 I’d like a Birkin 30 or 35 Retourne in a Jewel-tone color with gold hardware. I’ve made 2 purchases so far and am planning to ask my SA at my next visit if I can start a wishlist. But I’m nervous about it because what if that turns her off or it makes me seem too eager?

Congrats on your gorgeous bag! I got the same experience too when I shop with Cartier. Not 1 time but 2 times when I purchased my love ring and bracelet.. both Same bad services. 😅 initially I was quite shock too because I heard people saying their service is good but not really. But is fine because I just came to buy and leave not making friends 😆

That’s so unfortunate that you had that experience… Cartier is hit or miss sometimes! I do prefer to shop online when I can! Did you get the classic Love bracelet? How do you like it?

It's pretty much a norm for HK to get a bkc with 1:1.5 I am afraid. Also we have no say on the colour, leather and hardware. If they offer one to you and you don't like it, then you need to wait another month or so for the possible likeable combinations.

LOL, this sounds like my store in Norway. They are just like this haha. I must have asked about 50 different things over the past couple of years and they just say, "we don't have it, buy it online" :) It''s ridiculous really. At least you got a fantastic bag! Congrats, nata is such a dream color!

You know how happy I was for you, babe and still am but oh my gosh... the SA's behaviour was unbelievable! I do not understand how people who work in customer service can get away with zero service. Why is the brand allowing this??? I hope the other associate is indeed more senior and has taken notes on your transaction because that was NOT a job well done on the SA's part. It was a coaching moment and needs to be addressed.😑 Oh, I totally agree about not begging, not Hermès or any other house or SA or seller for that matter. I don't get the desperation and worse, the show of desperation for a bag. I can understand the love, sure. But to actually put all of one's hopes on an SA or a wishlist -- fixating, cajoling, pleading to be given the chance to drop thousands? It's not me. 100% AGREE. Ask with your best smile and then walk away. The ultimate accessory is one's confidence and dignity.😉 Love you, darling. Congratulations again!🤍

I just recently saw Connor’s the Closet video where he shares that Hermès Australia sent him a “Cease and Desit” because he sold a Picotin at retail price 🤯 This brand needs some serious adjustments 😅 The only time I got impeccable service from them, was ages ago in Madrid and I bought two items there and then! Take Dior for example, they went out of their way to source me a bag that wasn’t available online! Their customer service is amazing, the quality of the bags is second to none, but “we” as customers don’t appreciate it and the resale value and all that jazz! If Hermès Paris won’t take my money, of to Dior I go! 😄😎

My advice would be, just ask for a bag or to make a wish list, they can say yes or no! Just walk in with confidence and go for it! I got a yes so you can to! 😉

Completely understand the feeling! They can be quite snobbish and even rude…

The Birkin 25 isn’t heavy and it’s a new size from Hermès! I actually didn’t have to do much to get it! Just got lucky I guess!
