My friend Dianne+ I loved this song. 48 years ago today she was killed in a car accident. She always said what she looked forward to was Walking With Jesus. Now when I hear this song, I cry, because that is what I see, and I am happy for her

We saw them here in So Cal last weekend. Excellent sound, both of these guys do not look or sing their age. They have obviously taken very good care of themselves.

This is the best memory I have of America from the seventies. This and Sandman. The best plucking ever

I remember Surfing big waves and Santa Anna winds and smoking great bud in San Diego 1975! And America! We lived and loved life so hard! I miss those days!!

These guys never get old and their music will never fade...

Everybody has their favourites, this is my America most cherished. Hard to pick I like so many.

Have you checked out their two newer albums? Lost and Found, and Here and Now? This band is simply incredible, even to this day.

You can still see them. They still tour to this day. We saw them in February this year 2022. They were incredible. Also check out their new album "Lost & Found", it's awesome!

When I'd sleep over my friend Dianne's house she would wake me up for this song because we loved it. She was killed in a car accident, & when all the services were over I had 3 roses attached to a card with that message,"Three Roses Were Born With You, In Mind" I brought it to her grave, feeling she heard this from my heart

My favorite song of America...

Funny, but dumb story: I had the album America's Greatest Hits. Loved the album, all the songs. But, it didn't have Three Roses (or Riverside for that matter). I had never (to my knowledge) heard this song until this year!! And I absolutely love it!! There's some much music that gets buried by the "hits". I also recently "discovered" Joni Mitchell's "Coyote". Had never heard that until last year. I am trying to re-discover more of the good music. The crap that passes for music today is ridiculous.

Them big black acoustics had awesome tone and volume. I'd like to have one but I couldn't do it justice. ☹

There is no doubt that Dewey and Gerry are wonderful singers, songwriters and entertainers and have carried the legacy of America brilliantly through the decades. But, we all have to wonder how much more they could have achieved if they had only allowed Dan Peek to rejoin the group when he asked to. I read somewhere where they did agree to have him return as a sideman, not as a featured performer. If you had ever seen Peek perform, he seamed to have endless energy that certainly liven up America's live performances, and he did write and sing several of the early hits. It would have been a reunion for the fans and perhaps filled many arenas. Alas, it's only what might have been since the passing of Dan Peek killed any chances of it actually occurring.
