I had to get over that hurdle. I’ve worn boots for most of my life, and had wanted a pair of cowboy boots for years. My dad has worn them for longer than I’ve been alive, but I didn’t feel like I could pull them off. A couple years ago I said fuck it, I’m getting a pair. It made sense because I was in school for welding and kept burning laces on lace up boots, so I had an excuse. Once I pulled them on for the first time I stopped caring. I wear them every day now, unless I’m doing something that requires more specific footwear (hunting and hiking in rough terrain needs a bit more ankle support). Sadly I can’t wear them at work since we require lace up boots at my company, but I put them on as soon as I kick my work boots off

I got to say Jeremiah you were the person that inspired me to start to wear a cowboy boots as a black man with Dreadlocks working in the city in downtown Toronto I get a lot of looks not wearing the average sneaker But it does make me feel when I put on my boots every day like I’m a boss I even gone so far to sell my old sneakers to start buying an exotic pair of boots I’m 31 years old and I can officially say I’ll never buy another sneaker again I honestly feel like I levelled up since wearing cowboy boots

I am a total city boy from los angeles. The only horse I've ever rode is the one my mom put a penny in in front of the grocery store. With that being said, I have rocked cowboy boots the entirety of my adult life. I like them. It's part of my culture.

Cowboy boots actually became part of my identity. I remember walking into my first day of highschool back in 2009ish and wearing my cowboy boots. The kids in my school had never seen anything like it so I got heckled a lot. Still wore my boots everyday, and the heckling stopped when the kids realized I didn’t care what they thought. That was also around the time the country music craze started to come around and all the girls were into it, and eventually other guys would wear boots too. My nickname ‘Boots’ still follows me well over a decade later. Of course I still wear my boots.

I wear cowboy boots because I don't know how to tie my shoes. This guy is reading way too much into this.

Cowboy boots are the most comfortable footwear on the planet. If I ever was going to run a marathon I'd do it in a pair of boots!!!

Actually, the cowboy boot, like cowboys, was a thing introduced to the US by Mexico. As vaqueros predate cowboys by almost 100yrs. Remember, Texas to California, and up through Colorado to Nevada was Mexico first. We adapted the ways and wisdom of the vaquero to our own needs and style, and shared those adaptations with them. Both the cowboy and vaquero evolved together and separately simultaneously.

Retired Semi-Operator from Pa. I Dress like a Cowhand daily. I have 7 different pairs. I was born in the wrong part of the world. I always dreamt of being a working hand on a ranch. I have read hundreds of western novels, and history books on the pioneer west. I also wear the hat. I stand out like a prickly pear, in a peach grove!

I’m a person of color. And when I slip on my boots I just get judged by people in my community, but when I go to work everyone has got them on and I feel like I belong lol

As a Texan I have cowboys boots and love them. I wear hiking boots when I’m backpacking, I wear tennis shoe when I’m working out. And flip flops to wash my Jeep, going to the pool, or at the beach. My cowboy boots are my every day boots.

as a 50 year old asian man lives in new york, I have been wearing cowboy boots for almost 30 years. I’m confident individual who enjoys and proud of wearing cowboy boots. I really don’t care what other thinks as long as I’m happy.

What part of Atlanta do you live/work? Lots of Latinos in the Chamblee-Buford Hwy area. Even a Western Store at Plaza Fiesta. Granted most Latinos don't wear boots to work, they do on weekends and family occasions. I am Asian and get compliments from Latinos when I go to the supermarket.

I have 14 pairs: old griñgo, Luchesse, Liberty black, Lane Corral and Johnny Ringo. I am a nurse manager and my staff wonder if I am not well if I don't wear them.

I have some cowboy boots that are over 25 years old. They can be cheaply and easily rebuilt. Alot cheaper than buy new foot wear every year. I collect cowboy boots like women collect shoes!

I live in the UK and just got back from a 4 week work trip in Alabama and Tennesee. Ive always wanted a proper pair of american boots. I picked up 2 pairs of Ariat's while I was there and I just love them. So far ive been wearing them everywhere because they just look so dam good with a good pair of Levis. Plus they make you feel awesome just putting them on. And they look sharp as hell. I love them!

Also it says I choose to dress like a man. Sneakers say, “I just don’t care.”

I talked with another guy before about wearing cowboy boots and he said that he wasn't confident enough to wear them. I'm always wearing mine, and I'm always noticing both guys and girls checking them out all of the time. But that's not why I wear them, I wear them because boots are fuckin' awesome! Take your time and try on as many as you need to find that right pair. I suggest a lower heeled roper. You will find them to be more comfortable than any other shoe you own. Important to find a sales person or longtime boot wearer to show you proper fitment and heal slippage.

I am a lead software developer and framework engineer for a company up in Seattle, but born, raised, and living in Texas. I wear my boots every day. Whenever I fly up to home office I certainly stand out. You don’t have to be a cowboy to rock a good pair of boots.

Interesting topic. I am 39 years old and always liked Cowboy boots since I was a little kid. I was never confident to wear them in fear of people giving me a hard time. I finally bought some Ariat Boots to wear with my jeans so I looked more put together when I would go out. I like them so much I started to wear them as my primary shoe with jeans. It took me awhile to get the confidence to wear them. Now I’m looking at more custom boots for myself.

I am an asian dude who wears cowboy boots everyday, it gives me confident and gets my day going. Started from not wanting to be just another hype beast who freak out when their white sneakers got dirty.

Going to a country concert....LOL. 5-6 times a week for me. I was just walking through Lowes, and numerous people were looking at my boots. LOL.

I’m 17 and I live in England, I’ve wanted a pair for so long they just look so comfortable and they’re the kinda thing you can keep for years due to their quality and make and everything, but I’m scared to wear any because I know no one around here has any and I’d get strange looks from people

You might get some weird looks but there are places in the U.S. where I get weird looks too haha! No matter where you go people, will have opinions about you. The important thing is that YOU do what YOU want with YOUR life. If that includes wearing boots, go for it. There are some other boot wearers I know in England. On the contrary, no one knows until they try it. I've known of Americans in Europe who gain exceptional admiration in cowboy/cowgirl boots.

Cowboy boots are quite practical when riding a motorcycle. As someone who rode a motor cycle to a business where the other workers were trying figure out where to park in the Volvo? Well did get few jabs. That is until I told them it only takes 20 minutes for a 15 mile ride for me to get to work on the 405. Then I took them off and took my penny loafers out of the drawer in my desk. Removed my coveralls. Hung my suit coat up. Straitened my tie. Went work doing my IT support job. They also had a shine that would make the 1st SGT smile.

As a texas born and raised currently living in Seattle wearing my square toe boots makes me feel like home 😎 great video

Amen brotha, south Texas man myself. I haul horses to every major city you can think of and I have developed a reputation for my boots and starched jeans in places that it ain’t common.

Ive been wearing Cowboy boots everyday since grade 9 high school Rock concerts going to Work Riding my bike in the Wind Church Camping all 4 seasons here in Canada the list goes on Im 65 now & I will wear my boots till its my time & the Lord takes me home

Wearing all my boots gives me pride. Confidence. Beauty. Power. You become the statement while everyone else just watches you strut.

This was really good!!! I’m from Florida and yeah I get crazy looks especially being a POC I get super excited when I find a hood quality pair in the thrift store that are already broken in! And you’re right if you’re not a Texan you have to have a huge amount of confidence to pull them off… I love them so much I put them on with EVERYTHING! I wish I could wear them with my scrubs🤓

I'm an everyday cowboy boots guy and I'm from Europe. Can't imaging to not wear those. Feels wrong to put on sneakers... Plan was to get me an pair or two of Tecovas in May, but was unable to travel to Texas. Hopefully in September in Oklahoma...

BadZipness If you’re in Oklahoma, look into some boot brands with some history of bootmaking. Nothing against Tecovas, but if you’re traveling to the US to a state with a ranching/cowboying history, you can do better. Go to boot stores, ask questions, and try on a bunch of boots.

I grew up on a farm in a country,worked on my grandparents farm and other people's farm and I always dream of living a cowboy life. I have my boots,buckles cowboy hat ect. Even though I am not a cowboy in person,in my heart I am. Roy Rodgers, Gene, John etc are my cowboy heros. These the guys I look up to. This is who I am.

I'm late to seeing this great video. For me, its a nostalgic connection to my dad who wore his boots and Stetson hat every day. He was very much that person who was respectful, kind and generous, but also at times had to put his foot down. Now I also love the look and comfort. I don't care if I look different. TFS

Spot on. I am a German boy ( of 60 now), and I wear cowboy boots since I am 19 yrs. And I lovem so much!

I wear mine everyday out in L.A. Have gotten weird looks and many compliments. Great video!

If you really want to get their attention, make sure to wear the Wranglers, a long sleeved Wrangler shirt buttoned up, and a buckaroo hat. On a cool day you can add a Filson vest.

Being a modern day Cowboy hauling across the United States, just feels right with these boots brother 🤟🤠

I’m done with his reasons. Cowboy boots are worn for many reasons ESPECIALLY if you live out in the country. You don’t only own a pair but like 3-5 pairs!! And in different colors and skins. I can agree with the last three though.

I wear my boots just about everyday. Love them for how they feel (and obviously how they look too). Also, I’m a Rock/Metal head. I rarely listen to country.

Cowboy boots fit the rock and metal style very well!

I used to work at a Western wear store in Texas. I sold boots to customers from all over the world, including Africa, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Germany, Britain and even some members of the Australian Air Force. Fun times!

I bought my first pair about half a year ago when I decided to learn horse riding. I fell in love and since then I wear them EVERY SINGLE DAY. All my other awesome footwear I own must be very jealous because all I want to wear is cowgirl boots. I love your attitude and I'm a new fan. Subscribed!

I just got a new pair for my 40th birthday. First time I've had a pair since I was a teenager and I'm really looking forward to wearing them. All these things you say are completely accurate. You don't have to be a stereotype to wear cowboy boots. I still wear tennis shoes and cargo shorts for work.

This is a great post regarding the type of person who wears cowboy boots. I totally agree with your points. I wore blue Sendra cowboy boots at my wedding. Thanks for your views on this topic.

I’m from Ohio, and I’m cowboy booted all the time. I have always gone for the x-toe. I love the style, and have worn them for 45+ years. I have over 200+ pairs from off the shelf to many custom made. I love the uniqueness of my boots, and get many compliments on them when out in public.

200 pairs??? and my wife tells me that I have a problem because I own 6 pair plus a pair of Justin ranch boots. She says Im worse than a woman about my foot wear because if it wasnt for her I would probaly be in your neighborhood......lol Man you give me something to strive for....lol

I get made fun of and stared at at the time at school for wearing cowboy boots but I keep my head up and smile and my friends ask why don't i stop wearing boots to school I tell them "let them stared and make fun of me I feel good and look good and that is all that matters."

When me and my friends slip on the cowboy boots something is about to get burned, crushed, or blown up. Slipping on the boots is like having a quota of havoc to meet.

I get way to many looks wearing them to the point where you feel watched all the time ahah

I looked at her said so what you gonna do about it, send me to the principal office. Hated that teacher so much, I left my rockstar can half full of dip spit on her desk when she wasn’t looking, took the rockstar she was drinking and sat back down. Watched her drink out of my spit can lol. Ended up being my senior prank, suspended me for last 2 days of class

I'm a 60 yr old boot wearer, been 1 all my life, currently own 8 pair of different styled American made boots, 1 pair made in Mexico and it's my identity you could say. I remember when I was in kindergarten my mother waking me by tapping the bottom of my blanket to see if I'd slept in my boots again & sometimes I had but back then I loved my brown suede cowboy boots & never wanted them off so yeah, still a boot man & always will be.

Cowboy boots also go with pretty much anything, my favorite is a death metal tee shirt and jeans.

Recently started wearing cowboy boots daily, normally I just wear them when I'm riding my horse. I've found I feel more put together and a little badass 😎 if I'm being honest lol. Can't beat cowboy boots, bootcut jeans and a black tank top. That's classic to me and I feel confident.

I'm from Arkansas too. Rogers AR! I got some Dan Post R toe. They are not very expensive and look great. Under $200 if you don't go exotic leathers. Check them out

@Chris Farley I just bought a discontinued style of Bent Rails (BR 102) last year that have pegged soles on them. They're the only Bent Rails I've seen that have them, and they're one of my most favorite pairs of boots I own.

I’m Irish and I’ve just always loved the look and feel of the boots. I wear them about half the week 👢

I wear cowboy boots to work; it's part of my shirt-blazer-tie outfit. Borrowing it makes it sound like a costume. These people who wear it as a costume don't realize these boots cost more than $100.

and what do you have to say about the ones who use cowboy boots like slash did? For rock purposes?? I mean, when i watch a photo of slash wearing these, I can only think of how good his outfit is
