As far as Mephiles goes, consider the following: Black Doom is marketed as the game's main villain, yet he's now demonstrating time warping abilities he didn't have in his original debut (okay, he had powerful illusions that made Shadow think he was on Ark, again, which could be happening again, *OR* he could've gotten time-warping powers from the Time Eater, somehow, but... humor me). He's also seen summoning G.U.N. robots with neon purple hues, rather than Black Arms. These things are both weird for Black Doom... but who *DOES* have time travel powers and a penchant for re-texturing existing enemies in black and neon purple, I wonder...? I don't wanna get up my hopes too high, but a Black Doom/Mephiles team-up *would* be a pretty hype third-act twist, is all I'm sayin. Also, for the record, the opening theme unfortunately isn't an original composition for the game. It's called Smash Your Enemies by Tomas Herudek. I was kinda bummed to find that out, myself...

If this game is as long as Generations hopefully, this could be a high possibility, especially since Maria is getting a new VA for the game, why does this matter? Because it means this game is gonna be deeper then just a 20 minute mission from Forces

bosses I would like to see: 1.Mephilis (we need this) 2.dooms eye (as seen in trailer in the radical highway section) 3. eggman 4.biolizard as seen in trailer) 5. Devil doom(but more god scale) Rival bosses 1. Sonic (pretty obvious) 2.silver (maybe on radical train stage from 06) 3. Android shadow (I think this would be cool ngl)

Don't think shadow will be interchangeable with sonic since shadow's gameplay will using frontires open zone gameplay based on the bio lizard fight. And leaks say that black doom is actually comming back and its not just a revamped fight based on the past stages. There is an actual story reason he is coming back so they might alter the story to fit doom in, espically since this will act as a reintroduction to shadow's orgins which is good timing.

It’s not really leaks, but official information, Black Doom has returned, and it’s stated that Shadow’s campaign, “Shadow Generations”, runs parallel to the original Sonic Generations campaign. Plus, it really is good timing, seeing how Shadow is a key character to the third Sonic movie.

@@SonicAndre2 what if black doom is aware of the timeline falling around him. We see that the stages are in a ruined state with weird glitches on the buildings. We see things fall and reform around him. And shadow is one of the stronger characters so black doom my follow suit. Hell what are the chaos emrealds going to do in this story this might be what doom is after if he has those he might be able to enter white space.

Yeeeah. The only way i see these happen is if the reintegrate Sonic with his open zone skill tree playstyle of Frontiers in Shadow Generations and have Shadow be a Modern Sonic reskin ala Forces for Sonic Generations. The latter might be doable, but the former? Not in base game if at all. I also imagine them keeping Shadow exclusive to his seperate game (yes Shadow Generations is pretty much a seperate thing from the Sonic Generations remaster they quite literally advertise this as a compilation of 2 seperate things) and even then whats the logic of Shadow fighting himself in Sonic Generations? And replacing him with Sonic would be redundant if they already consider doing smth like that in Shadow Generations (which is pretty likely imo) id only subscribe to the latter fully if the rivals are exempt. (Cause Metal Sonic is Classic Sonic only and Silver was designed with Modern Sonics design in mind). Former? No shot unless it's like Shadow in Forces (minus the campaign) and they make that a story exempt DLC for free or smth. But again that is unrealistic imo.

I would love to see Mephiles and Infinite return as bosses

i think chaos powers in place of elemental shields could be cool

Shadow won't be playable in gens stages because both games are from different engines which are the hedgehog engine and the hedgehog engine 2 like they were completely different games

I haven't played generations, but ik some, and I remember being able to use super sonic freely in any stage after unlocking/beating the game, if they do that for shadow, the MASSIVE W, & yes, I'd love to have a full on battle as shadow against sonic & vise versa in the original storyline but & actual battle on a mix between a open plane & a boosting stage, like phases, 1st phase is open, the 2nd phase is boosting, then 3rd or something can be a mix & this idea would work for both characters, aka battle shadow as sonic, then battle sonic as shadow, it would be dope!

man. every time the gun truck chase scene is shown, i just instantly snap into mesmerization and can't look away. i love it so much. which is why i'm making my first game inspired by it. like an infinite runner genre of game, but with a giant truck, and playing as customizable cars to run away with. been in the works for 2 years cuz retail job pays shit and trying to fund a game development from it is harrrrrrrrrrd. but it's coming together steadily. hhhhhhh

But if you wanna see a super early piece of it, look for downhill truck chase chase theme, but don't bother subscribing to that channel. It's abandoned. Hear me out, Infinite escapes from the Phantom Ruby and uses the Time Eater to Erase Sonic's Victories and Shadows Origins as an attempt to undo his defeat in Forces and the Sonic Generations story plays out, maybe even an SA2 like structure where there's the Sonic Story and The Shadow Story then a Final Story where Classic Sonic, Modern Sonic and Shadow join up maybe even an SA2 tribute when they're going super then Infinite loses then finds Classic and Modern Eggman from Sonic Generations which could explain why Classic Eggman was trying to get the Phantom Ruby in Sonic Mania and how both of the Eggmen got back to their timeline because well the Phantom Ruby has capabilities to alter Time and Space

If I were to do some kind of homage to Shadow the Hedgehog. I would choose the stages from the following games, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic 06, and Shadow the Hedgehog game. Bosses That Shadow should fight: Chaos, Mephiles, and Black Doom should be the villain of the story since his cosmic evil fits into the time paradoxes the Sonic generation is all about.

1) i dont mind if sonic cant play shadow stages but shadow needs to be able to play sonic's 2) id love super shadow playable but im not holding out much hope 3) really hope we get sonic v shadow 4) Mephiles, cmon this has got to happen they even considered putting him in forces 5) shadow music tracks were missing these ones 1) throw it all away 2) this machine 3) all hail shadow 6) id hope for egg emperor to get a boss fight as sonic heroes is the only modern game from before 06 that dosent have a boss

I don't know, maybe I am just too old and enjoy the classics - but shadow doesn't do anything for me he is just sonic but more, well, not. I'd prefer to play as tails or knuckles. Shadow feels more like a boss, similar to metal Sonic. He plays the same as sonic. Don't get me wrong I thought sonic generations was one of the best modern sonic games. Just adding Shadow does not excite me when I am a child of the mega drive.
