5 Things to Consider BEFORE Buying An ATV / SXS

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If you buy new be sure to check if it's a good deal, the market is shifting, and they are starting to come back down. ITs always a good idea to see if its a problematic machine but searching the machine in google and seeing what issues come up. Used machines are great as well, the auction or Facebook marketplace is a good way to find them.

Right about now I'd trade my Brute Force 650 for a Rancher 350. Bought it a year ago as a 'good deal' for $2800, had reasonable hours and miles, decent condition. Hell the seat isn't even worn out. Over the last year I've put about 2 grand in parts and labor into it. Motor runs strong, new CV axles up front, Dynatek, new tires etc, Knight Sure 4 etc. Should I sell it or just accept it's going to spend a month or two every year in the shop?

I’m not a fan of either one of those, I’m sure you could find a better trade than the 350 though. The rancher 350 is probably one of the worst of the honda line up. They are good when they run but once it starts smoking they can be problematic.

@@TheATVHustle I was exaggerating but my old 350 4x4 ES never cost me a dime in maintenance aside from fluids. I love the brute when it runs but it's always something. What do you recommend for the best bang for the buck and most reliable all around 4 wheeler in the used market? Ideally on the larger displacement side of things.

@@jeffdeal1162 probably the Honda foreman 500 with the foot shift or the 420. Aside from that a lot of the key is not buying one of the problematic machines or someone else’s ragged out quad.
