A quick list of 5 things to get into a habit of doing before you take off down the road on a day ride, to work, or on that long trip you've been planning. what ever the case always give your bike a good look around for anything that seems out of place. you'd be surprised to fined out how many nuts and bolts find their way lose, or some rust on the chain that if you see before you ride you can hit with some WD-40 or chain wax/lube.
The most important thing is to stay safe and make it back home to loved ones so do them and yourself a favor and LET SOMEONE KNOW WHERE YOU ARE GOING !!!
