5 Things That Most Men Test a Woman For

5 Things that Most Men Test a Woman for is in response to a question that I received asking what tests to men put women through. When entering into a relationship there are several things that a guy wants to know about a woman. These things tell him if the woman is the type of woman that he would like to be with long term. Women have asked me what they can do to win a man over, what they can do to make the man they are interested in want them, and how they can pass the tests that men are conducting. Both men and women want the person who they will date to have certain qualities and this AskChazzEllis video will help women understand some of the qualities that men are looking for in a relationship.
Question Starts: 01:46
The first thing that most men test a woman for 02:11.

    I'm old school, and those men wine and dine you back in the day, and of course we were ladies, and carried ourselves different. This new generation is on something new, and they are clueless at times.

    The times are different now, economics are different, women are making more money, than men, so a lot of men are threaten by that, or people are jut not willing to sacrifice like they did, when women solely needed a man financially, and they put up with a lot of things, we are not putting up with, and the main thing is abuse, and disrespect from some men, and women.

    What happened with that? In my opinion different times demand different behaviours. In the past woman could not study or work, well, not even many man unfortunately. So the man had to provide. Now we think. This girls wants and have the rights than us man? Great, lets expect also the same duties from them (woman). If you understand it you are fair, if you don't i don't care because i know i've got the truth by my side.

    I don't intentionally test the guys I date. I just pay a LOT of attention to what they say. especially the Freudian slips. If there is any difference between what he says and does.. actions tell me the truth. Sometimes what is NOT said speaks loudet than what is. Word choices also speak volumes.

    Now see, sometimes a woman may have cooked for the other guy, but will not cook for you NOT b/c you're second choice but b/c she's trying to see where your head/heart is at before going all in like she did with the other guy who turned out to be a user. She just don't want to get hurt or used again, so she holds back until she's 'SURE that he's starting to care about her.'. It's nothing to do with you being her second choice. Men who generalize women's actions and motives will usually miss out on the good ones. The best way is to just ask: Baby, why you don't ever cook for me? or haven't cooked for me during these two months we've been dating? She may throw down for you later, but for now, she just want to see if your heart is with her.

    Sweet Sugar 101 Well, that maybe.....But girls do often replace people...alot just to get their happiness back..with their ex...and this way...when his ex tends to come back..the new guy often ends up ditched and that hurts alot to the new guy..because he thought that he was the only one she really wanted. In the end I just want to say that Whatever these women are going through..dont use someone elses emotion for that.

  • @AJweathersby

    @AJweathersby

    Sweet Sugar 101 The problem with that logic is this: how is a guy supposed to be able to tell if you're not cooking for him because you're unsure about the relationship, or because he's the second choice? He's not psychic, presumably. Men and women both generalize each other's actions, because we don't have any other way of knowing what a specific person's rationale was for acting the way they did. A man might legitimately show his affection for women through sex, but how can you differentiate him from the millions of other men who can completely divorce their love from the act of sex? So from a guy's perspective, it's better to assume that the woman doesn't really value them and miss out on something they didn't have to begin with, rather than pursue a woman who really does only see him as a 2nd choice and end up getting hurt and disrespected.

  • @AJweathersby

    @AJweathersby

    ***** That's an extremely dangerous way for a woman to think. This idea that there's some kind of destined lover out there for every single person in the world. That couldn't be farther from the truth. I'm pretty sure that we both know a sizeable number of single women who are in their 50's, 60's, and older, and still remain single. Falling in love is something you have to be proactive about pursuing. If you just shut down and wait for the perfect man to come and sweep you into the stars, you could very well spend the rest of your life waiting.

What kind of man would play like this? News flash: a date is your chance to put your best foot forward. What you won't do trust me another man will. And cooking is for husbands! Why should I do wife duties for a man that haven't invested in me and I barely even know??? Wtf

She doesn't ask then or call from the store if she wants to get something for herself on his dime. Pass=get only what's asked, return card, forget PIN. FAIL= get something on his dime without asking, or keep card and/or remember PIN.

    It's a trust issue. They purposely give access to test if someone in their life takes advantage of them and violates their trust. I don't play games like this, I want to get to know someone over time and form my own opinion of them, but then again I'm a woman not a man, I don't want to have knowledge or access to anyone's bank account but my own and I don't give out that kind of info to anyone else. Any man is welcome to test me, but I have never sought anyone's access nor felt comfortable with anyone's info unless absolutely necessary. They are testing trust and integrity.

    Trust is an important issue, I agree. On the issue of who should pay on serious dates, men are supposed to be courting the woman. Not the other way around. The man wants to show himself in the best possible light while in courting mode. Thoughtfulness and generosity are admirable traits to have in a boyfriend or partner. The woman, after all, is the one who'll be spending all day and part of the evening, cooking, cleaning house, raising children and then performing night duties as well. Often, the woman works a part time job, too. A good woman adds value to a man's life and can transform it from hell to heaven - as a good man can transform a woman's life as well. Not that the man while in courting mode is expected to pay for the sake of it or more than he can afford. It's more about showing what's in his heart and how he values the woman's company and character by being chivalrous in the best way he can. The woman should also reciprocate by inviting him to a delicious home-cooked meal occasionally and showing her thoughtfulness and appreciation of him.

    You bring up exes with your current and he will soon be an ex. Men don't want to hear that shit. The more men you talk about with your man the more men he realizes have been inside you, whether or not you slept with them, that thought is there, esp. in the beginning (2-3 years). Plus it also points out to him that everything he does is going to be broadcast to the world, now you have a guy is going to shut down and not act like himself so as to avoid public humiliation when you HAVE to tell everyone he knows about it.

    I test a girl to see if she is gonna meet me half way. Such as, when I see I do most of the calling or texting. An she never calls me, hmm. Another example, I see if I am just something to do when she's bored,hmm. An anyone can tell if someone is talking you just cause their bored and have nothing else better to do. That shows me that I am not a priority ( I'm not valued, she's not really interested like she claims to be or Friend-Zoned) Which leaves to many questions and complications. An I don't do complicated, unsure, playing hard to get type women. My time wasted... No ma'am. Find another sucker duck. Lol

    chazz, you left a major one out which is a man will test you to see if you are a keeper or a sleeper! If he can have sex with you right away most often than not you will fall into the sleeper category and he will hit it a few times and keep it moving. For a relationship with substance and promise a man wants a keeper and she is not someone that can be easily gotten!

    Men are really tricky sometimes because they will test a woman for how long will she set her standards and if the time comes that the woman will eventually jump on men's test he'll probably lost interest in her. So women watch out for guys like this because they don't fall in love right away and it takes a lot of time for them to commit into a relationship.

    I once went out with a girl and when we ordered a coffee, the cream & sugar was on the other side of the room. We sat down and I said I was going to the bathroom, when I got back, she had filled my cup up with cream and brought sugar over to our table. This means she is a giver (and a woman to keep).

    It's a two way damn street.. If you men can test a woman, well guess what we can test you too. What? You think you only have the right? Sorry, but no.. Just like love is a two way street so is testing. What? You think we like being second choice as well? No we don't. I am not one to make the next guy pay for my previous heart breaks, but if you think I am just going to start trusting you at the start of dating, you have seriously lost your flippin mind.. Trust and respect are earned not a given. That works on both sides. If you can't put forth the effort to earn the woman you are dating trust and expect her to just blindly trust you then there is the door, don't let it hit you where the good Lord split you. If you aren't emphatic and have compassion for the woman you are serious about then you aren't worth her time.

    +Dragon72801 Women have always tested men. And to a degree, men were generally aware of that (mostly because women usually tell men they don't like why they aren't interested, or tell men they do like about what the last guy did wrong). But most women don't know that men have their own tests, because we usually have a "don't ask, don't tell"-policy. And now that women are aware of that, they can deal with those tests as is necessary, rather than having seemingly harmless conversation with a guy, going home, and waking up to see that he just stopped calling you for seemingly no reason. That's a good thing. It helps you stay more aware about what's going on in the other person's head, and makes your love life easier (hopefully).

    I agree Corinne. I am at the point now where I gave up and could care less. I am focusing on me now..and what I want for my life by myself. I have been looking out for too many ppl for too long, who don't have the common courtesy of appreciating me..men and women both. So now it's my turn and they can all kiss where the sun don't shine lol. I got me a second tattoo Saturday..despite me saying I would never get one tatt much less two lol. But anyway, focusing on me and catering to my needs. Also focusing on friends and family who do love and respect me, and I love and respect them. Our love for each other is effortless, as it should be.

    The thing that is so sad is that men and women know that we think differently, yet, we keep giving each other "tests". Why not just communicate what you need/desire and let the actions do the rest? I feel that so many connections and relationships are/have failed because of misunderstanding.

    LADIES... PLEASE PAY ATTENTION!!!!!!!!! I agree w everything Chazz said BUT...... as someone who was married 20 yrs, a psychology degree & back on the dating scene the last year.... I would like to add something. Pay attention to the way your guy words his messages or texts, does he write short choppy msg or long ones, certain words he uses that he doesn't realize he does, how he phrases things etc..... because when mine started thinking serious about a future I would receive fb msg from other guys asking for sexy pics or asking me out. Always be aware guys & girls you may be talking to "sam" but it may also be ur guy. if a stranger starts asking questions that he shouldn't it's probably ur bf/gf. giving situations like saying ur bf will never know let's go out or knowing wayyyy too much about you that he shouldn't. Beware ladies & guys.... he thought I didn't know, but one phrase, little word he uses all the time, gave him away. So if ur serious at ur bf/gf don't be caught flirting w another online because when he calls u out on it, you'll remember this msg. lol. love & hugsxxxxx

    Hi I have a question. Would a man tell a woman that he is married even though he is not just to test her and she what she will do. I had been flirting with a man a few months ago at work. He did not where a ring and there were no tan marks on his finger where he would have worn a wedding ring. I recently asked him about his weekend and he mentioned that he missed his sons soccer game because he had to come in to work. For the sake of asking I just wanted to be sure, so I stated although he wasn't able to make his sons game at least his wife was able to go attend. He held his head done and paused as he stated "yeah, she went. I will hear all about it when I get home." Then he said he should get back to work. When I was about to leave for the day he was irritatingly passing back and forth in front of my work station, which is a strange behavior I had never seen him do before. I was soo upset, and even more so because he couldn't look me in the eye and tell me this to my face. when I actually left I looked him in the eye and told him to have a good day then turned my face in anger. He had this look on his face like he was sorry and even attempted to walk toward me, I did not want to hear anything he had to say and rushed to get out the door ASAP. He's always testing me and making comments like "yup you got it right, check, or coodo points for you, or even makes a weird sound like I answered wrong on a game show. I found out from a source that told me he is and had been for several years now. I knew this before I made my comment. If he is not married then why did he lie to me? My source might also be wrong and maybe he is. If so, what the hell is he doing flirting with me and getting all upset if another guy and I are having a conversation. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
