@@yeyito7040 in a natural relationship you take the required time you need to get to know someone for who they really are. Same goes for your spiritual relationship with God. If we don’t talk to Him (praying) or read His word how can we get to the desired relationship we want with Him ? You can’t. One of the many ways to get to know God for who He really is by putting in the time with Him DAILY !! 💛 This I know from personal experience.

@@ChantalTalkswithGod I mean, how can there exist a relationship between you and god when he doesn't show himself physically, or in any way that can be percieved by the senses? It seems to me a lot like a one-sided relationship, you'll read alot about him and pray for him. But you'll be even lucky to recieve but a hint of his acknowledgement.

One thing that God has revealed to me as a hindrance is reading the Bible with other people's flaws in mind. Having a "pulpit" mentality (thinking I have the right to judge and deliver people as if I'm God) is unhealthy.😷 Thank Jesus he's able to deliver us even from unhealthy perceptions 🤓

He delivered me from this sin even though i thought there was absolutely no way i'd get out of it. there was also a friendship i had been in for a looonng time that i didnt think was right for me, but she was my ONLY friend so i didnt think i could end the friendship but it ended the exact same day i was delivered from this sin. ive never felt more free

Loneliness and perfectionism hinders my relationship with God. I keep thinking if I'm good enough, not-broken enough, happy and successful and put-together enough then I'll be worthy of love. The fact that God loves and wants me regardless of everything (mistakes, rebellions, brokenness, past-present-future) is hard to believe sometimes and other times its everything I need to survive.

Much like pulling bark from a tree; but he's been good, patient, and consistent. I've come a long way and am a different and better person now because of him. Trying to follow the world, or like be apart of the world is really hindering my walk with Christ. One day I want to follow Christ, and like the next I look at the world and see oh wow that’s fun I want to be apart of it. But the verse that keeps me going is “Do not love the world or what it offers. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in them” - 1 John 2:15. Then in verse 16 it says For all that is in the world- the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life- is not from the father but from the world.” Keep fighting the good fight!!!

I definitely agree! Having the wrong view of Him can also come from identifying Him with other people’s religiousness (other’s character, the assumed relationship others have with God or how we perceive He’s justified others). It’s so dangerous for us to associate His character with anything other than His word.

It is obvious that this comment wont be seen, but I would like to thank you for this video. I have been struggling alot with growing in God, overwhelmed by alot of confusion on what a relationship with God looks like, His character and much more. This video was such a blessing, thank you and most importantly Praise God!

I loved these 🙏🏾 definitely all of these resonated with me. Thank you so much! Definitely a lot to think about. Not fully trusting him is one also due to past from my dad me thinking that God is like him leaving all the time. Social media is a big one for me, thinking I can do things on my own, pretty much all of them

I just want to say that this is by far my favorite video yet. I don't comment much, because my words don't always come out right lol, but I wanted to say that your growth is evident is so beautiful but God is doing in your life I can't wait to see where he's taking you. To answer the area thats hindering my relationship with God is lack of focus and my perspective to keep it short

Thank you for this beautiful reminder! Its best to keep on working on your relationship with God in this world we live today. The world is at its end, as for me i see myself in these 5 things and am working on them. I have my flaws and weakness but they will never stop me from still chasing after God but i know the power of his Name and the importance of his presence in my life. Thank you Melody

Sis this resonated with my soul! Thank you. I also think with self sufficiently comes the women money chasers and there definitely needs to be a balance of this. Balance is so important and career endeavours, education endeavors, our walk with the Lord and family / me time. I think it would be good to do a separate video on balance.

New to your chanel. I agree with all 5 that I personally went through. It is also wrong image of God and childhood traumas that hinders a relationship with God and keeps me in a loop of unhealthy patterns and cycles, also bad habits. I read Bible, try to to read Bible every day even if I don't want to. I also confess my sins and try to have peope around me who make me accountable and think or see through other perspective, not my emotional side.
