Working out and lifting weights also has other effects on functionality, overall health, mental health, etc. I'm pretty sure he has talked about why he thinks guys should work out and be fit, and why he has the routine he has, but his point in this video is you don't need to look like a person on the cover of a fitness magazine to be successful in attracting women.

The problem with working out solely for the sake of impressing women is that you're going out of your way to overcompensate for your feelings of insecurity and inadequacy. Not only that, but when you start realizing that not every woman salivates over you for being ripped, you'll get bitter and frustrated because you didn't impress as much as you thought you would.
