    One of the best things for me was learning to actually use my Scav runs to actually, like, scavenge. When I started out, I was like "hey free kit" and just went around shooting everything I saw like I was playing PMC. Now, I use Scav runs to go try to find unlooted bodies of maybe someone who died to AI and get some free armor/helmet/gun/ammo, whatever. Or go check to see if someone missed some graphics cards in a tech store or skipped over some rooms in Resort or something. All while walking past the AI because I have a free pass. Sometimes I'll do a Scav run and never shoot a single shot, but I'll walk about with 500k worth of stuff.

    I love Dark Souls but none of those games have ever filled me with the level of anxiety I get playing Tarkov. I think the main reason is that in Tarkov you're not dealing with Swords, Bows and Crossbows -- you're dealing with firearms. You can literally be shot and killed in an instant from someone you can't even see, especially if they have thermal, so it's just the "any second now I am going to die" aspect of the game especially with each second you survive. By the time you get close to extract, it only just ramps up because you're like "I'm too close, this can't be this easy, there's gonna be an exit camper or something" but when you hear the successful extract music you're like "Oh my God I made it". Most rewarding, frustrating yet tense game ever in my opinion.

    Exactly. Sadly i learned that after i hit level 30. Most ppl think that money is the most important thing. Yes they are important but not as much as your level, hideout(where you can make a looot of money) and ofc traders levels for best gear and ammo. With 10m rubs and PS ammo you will still suck 😀 better to have 100k rub and atleast BP ammo available. Nothing matters more than good ammo and map knowledge.

    #1. Knowledge, is definitely deserving of that spot. I just built a new pc. My old one was from 2011 and could barely run anything. I've watched Tarkov videos for several months and in the weeks leading up to my build, I binged guide videos. Because of that, I've survived 3/4 of my raids and went from the starting 300k to 2mil in the last week. Knowing what to take, what to keep, where to get what, when to dip, when to push, etc. is everything.

    "Ammo is more important than the gun" Another reason I don't like playing or buying/using any sort of decent gun. I know that as a brand-new player, I cannot afford to buy the best ammo from the flea market, so there's no point going out there with a great gun using shit ammo. The only good ammo I have access to is Mosin ammo. So instead I just don't go out on raids.

    I used to make money on the fleamarket so I could actually play the game with decent gear. I'd buy low and sell high to trader or back on fleamarket. I have a broken neck, back and severe nerve damage. I can't play for the time required in raid to get good stuff. Now that my option of flea market has been removed ( and I never used bots even though I was competing with bots to buy / sell but I'd look for different items if a category was full of bots and I'd be very successful in a very short time ). In the time of 1 raid spanned over several sittings I could get 5+m I can't do that anymore meaning the game is basically unplayable because I rarely have the ability to sit and use my arms for that amount of time. It really sucks that accessibility was removed instead of simply banning bots and fixing the time desync on fleamarket to give everyone an equal chance to buy instead of having it sold before the buy button is even available for the majority of players. Instead of fixing the bugs, it makes the game unplayable to a lot of disabled individuals because now we can't use a method to gain money which we can use 5 minutes at a time and get enough to go into a raid with decent gear when we have the ability to..

    I have an idea for a video you should make. Take a lengthy and successful raid that youve done, and pull it up and go through without any skips and pause occasionally and talk about what is #1 in your head at that moment #2 What is some potential options that you have to tackle the situation and #3 quickly discuss alternate things you could have done, or other people can do in similar situations. I think it would help us all out alot and i know i would greatly appreciate it. I struggle so hard in tarkov with just finding something to do that truly motivates me like it used to. Now i just get in raid, run to the biggest hot spot, and hope i find some geared ppl. It gets really repetitive and i just wanna know when in the raid should you loot areas? When to scavenge gear? When to hide? When to know if you can take a fight or not? etc... I could go on but i wont, im sure you get what im saying. Been a fan for a long time man, your doing this entire community a solid with every video you publish and stream you produce man, Nice work.

You have to manually toggle off of sprinting with lshift or you make a very loud skidding to a stop noise when you slow back down. Again, felt like an idiot once I realized but I still hear it all the time in factory , it’s a dead giveaway to your position .

I did this with the Jaegar task to kill PMCs in the office area - this was much faster than doing it on woods where I would get 1 kill in like 20 minutes whereas in Factory I got so many more kills quickly (make sure to bring armour!)

    A good thing to do is to learn a specific weapon. My weapon to go is an AKS-74U and using bs ammo, it is pretty cheap, common on scavs. Since it usually has the highest recoil of the aks, it makes people not take the gun and you'll usually get it back from insurance. Even when you mod the gun out, most people would just take the attachments to save space so you'll get it back pretty often. Find a gun you like and are used to and learn how to effectively use it.

  • @PolygonByte

    @PolygonByte

    4 жыл бұрын

    Indeed. Map knowledge, understanding sounds and positioning has allowed me to more carefully determine when I should play aggressively. If you're in a fight where you can determine the gear of the other player or even their play style, it can also help to make that judgement. What I haste most in the game is just getting one tapped without ever seeing my opponent. That is the most annoying but sadly part of the grind.

    juju2K what I’ve found to help a lot is to listen and play defensively... if you get shot before you can shoot, run and find cover! You’d be surprised at how well a bush can provide a sense of line of sight blockage, although a ridiculous statement lol. But it works! Or run to cover behind a building, car, etc. you need to run to a spot that won’t corner you. That’s so important. In doing so, now the enemy has to push up on YOU and you’ll have an advantage. It’s helped me a ton with fights. And Don’t try to rush unless you have your strength up or you hear healing/eating/reloading! Perfect times to catch them off guard because the animation can’t be cancelled.
