Anyhow I quickly realized how difficult it is to navigate the simplest features on the deck. Notably it is a 2010 and it’s 13yrs old but the deck is just lame. After that I’ll definitely have a reverse cam installed. Outside of that, my only other issue seems to be electrical, regarding chassis system failure display, that pops up often. I have a 2010 Panamera S and I love it! True, regarding the little irritating "features" that you mentioned. But I don't have the clock, as I don't have the system associated with it. (Chrono sport package). But that's okay with me. I bought it with 66,000 mi on it and had to perform some items that weren't listed on the records. That totaled a few thousand more in cost. But that's fine. I come from ownerships of a few BMWs, including an M3, of recent vintage. I can say, without a doubt, that this car is absolutely fantastic! No regrets about its purchase, even though it was an afterthought, as I just wanted to get rid of the BMW. Ha! Seriously. I suppose I fell in love with the ass end of this vehicle, first. 😂 It's so wide it would be hard to imagine losing any stability in the corners. I have found the infotainment system to be a bit frustrating and not very intuitive, as you have. But it's been fun going down the rabbit holes. Well worth it!

@@mariokroll3470 Hi Mario I have owned Porsche before and BMW 328i, M3 and a 331i. With each and every BMW, I felt like I was sitting on pins and needles wondering what is going to leak next. Even with normal maintenance and I was on thin ice because the warranty on my 335 I expired. And I had an inspection before the warranty wore out, by the authorized BMW dealer, to anticipate any possible issues. They replaced my battery on warranty, which is key with these modern cars. Anyway, my experience with Porsche, again my experience and is subjective, is, is it felt more durable and better engineered. With the exception of the Porsche 996, arguably, they are very reliable vehicles. I did suck it up and pay for an extended warranty on the Panamera, But I negotiated a fair price for it. Any German car deserves a warranty. But the BMW, specifically, can have issues even a day after the warranty wears off. Porsche, not so much. Personally, I like the ride and handling better with the Porsche. But my observations are how he subjective and I urge you to do your research before purchase of any of them.

@@thomashelm6931 Thanks. Very helpful. I have a 911 and an X5. Deciding whether to double down on either brand or go in a different direction (MB, for example). The 911 has been fantastic, bought pre-owned. Had a previously 718 blow its turbo, thankfully while under warranty, so I bought a hefty 75K extended warranty for the 911. The X5 is still under warranty but we already had to have the electric steering replaced a year in. Love the car, but am nervous about BMW's mid-life reliability. I definitely know that "pins and needles" feel of being outside warranty and not quite trusting your car. Again, thanks for your input. Doing my research.

@@mariokroll3470 Great choice in vehicles! I sold all of my BMWs before they hit 50,000 miles. I've owned Porsches, various models, that are extremely reliable and no issues at over 70,000 mi. As you probably will know, the 911 is probably one of the more reliable vehicles out there, let alone being a Porsche. But, still, a wise move for the extended warranty! I double down on Porsche. A Macan or Cayenne would fill the void of the X5 quite nicely. I drove a six-cylinder Macan And found them to be quite underpowered. But very nice vehicles! Again, best of luck in your search!

There are ECU tuners out there and a few brands of body kit mfg from Germany and Asia. You can do the pedal master mod to change the throttle response too. But if you are driving around in sport plus often, I can't see how that's not adequate.
@jahirmora6049 Жыл бұрын
Leaving the Cayenne out, there is no Porsche that actually has a wide rear view, they are sport cars. PCM can be upgraded to Apple CarPlay. The dash clock is an option. Parking issues? get a Ford Fiesta and finally who would want to increase Porsche's factory 400/500 hp? Those are details, not things to hate in a car like Panameras

@@nataliegrn17 I dropped it. A new battery is around 5000 US$, I found a used battery at half the price online in The Netherlands. Too risky to go for it and then only the combustion engine doing all the work. After all climate change is starting to bite. I don't need something like that anyway. If I was a mechanic with heavy duty tools etc., I could have bought it and then replace the battery by myself. As a last note, although it's not a sports luxury car, a new Toyota Prius 2024 delivers 200 BHP and fuel consumption is less than 1L/100km. It's new, 10 years warranty, reliable etc. There are options out there.

You got my attention at “guns and horse power” 👍🏼

Anybody around would advise on the possibility of buying a Panamera S Hybrid from 2011 (380 BHP) with 180.000 miles? Any issues? Too risky? The battery for the hybrid can be found easily for replacement? Thanks in advance.

There are options out there.

the clock is a functional timer on its own my guy. Have to learn about your cars stuff before complaining. you don't even have to have it ticking the whole time, the second hand that is. There is literally a function to start and stop and reset it. Also there is absolutely aftermarket apple car play and android auto.
