    Pretty spot on. Especially the steering, I had r-line as a loaner and the steering in that was dogshit compared to my GLI I couldn't believe how different it was. My previous was a mk6 GTI which I definitely miss but for the money and value the Autobahn GLI had stuff in it that you couldn't even get in the Autobahn GTI for way less

    Stumbled upon your video and as a Civic owner myself, my car also has the flat black window pillars. I've always hated it about my car, really cheapens up the look of it. I wrapped them in gloss black 3M vinyl. Highly recommend, such a small detail but really changes the overall look. If you do, you should def record! I've been looking around online to see if anyone's wrapped their '19 Jetta but haven't found anything.

    The noise coming from your door is apparently fuel lines as I was told... don’t know if I believe it, but they said it was rubbing against the door panels causing the noise. So they insulated the doors to stop the noise and worked so far.

    i got one of these too just few months ago. Canadian 2021 version. black color, manual trans. i get as low as 5 Liters per 100KM if i drive efficient on 6 gear expressway. if i use more power in local city, its still only 7-8L average. its basically a budget rebranded audi. i originally wanted an audi but this one just came with most things included. whereas the audi u have to pay several thousand just for some simple basic features like (black optics package, red caliper, steel pedals, digital instruments). audi just rips people off for the brand, but it is more premium. this is honestly good enough, im not that picky. i had to learn manual on my own in a few weeks. still havent learned all the features of the car

    Hey, I have the same exact car as you but I have the 35th anniversary version. So far I have done an Injen cold air intake, duckbill spoiler, and cts downpipe to my car. You said the stock exhaust sound is quiet and I agree but if you get the cts downpipe, it will sound better and you you gas mileage will go up a little and you will gain a little bit of power not much though, like 6-10 hp gains. I plan to do a tune to my car latter on to get it to push 300 hp. The thing about the interior you said though is not very true. when I touch those plastic pats in my car they don't creak or crack at all. might be that it has only 21,000 miles on it but it doesn't do that for me. also the plastic panels on the outside that are fading are annoying. I see that mine are starting to do that as well. I think you can get them replaced. That is what I might do because it will look better than wrapped. Overall I love my Gli as well. I like that I got the 35th anniversary one because those wheels look much better than the silver ones on the normal one but I will upgrade to better wheels. I have already upgraded wheels because the stock ones sucked and now I don't get wheel spin in second gear anymore with upgraded tires.

    So #1 I bought a Carista OBDII adapter and disabled the soundaktor altogether. It helped resolve a nasty rattle in the dash behind the radio in S mode and others in any other drive mode. #2 the rattle in the passenger door is actually more than likely the fuel lines underneath the passenger seat. I put it up on ramps, removed the plastic shields, and stuffed foam in any area the fuel lines travel in an encapsulated space. Noise gone immediately. Is your noise around 2k-3k rpm?

    Hey Dude. Awesome setup. Car is clean AF! Wanted to ask, have you had any issues with the NS Sport Springs over the years (bouncing, wearing/sagging, bottoming out, rub etc)? Looking to get the NS Springs as well. NS claims they have been tested and are made to work with DCC. However there are those who say you really need to get after market shocks/dampeners that match the spring to avoid the problems described above. Or disable the DCC and go for coil-overs. That could just be opinion so I wanted to know from someone who has actually had experience with this springs. Lastly, did you have to recalibrate the DCC after installing the springs? Many Thanks Dude!

  • @hi_im_dar

    @hi_im_dar

    If you plan on keeping it long term then it’s probably better to go the coilovers route. The shocks will most likely fail sooner with the lower springs since they’re not set up for the new ratio. However, I haven’t had any issues at all whatsoever. I sold the car and just got an Mk8 GTI. Videos to come soon with this new car setup 😜 i already lowered the GTI as well and will plan on keeping this long term so I can for sure know how long the shocks will last lol

    vw had this thing on stilts, looked totally ridiculous, you have it set nice. very upset about the new jettas and the company's behavior overall. my mk6 has a clutch delay valve that I havent bothered to take out yet, they purposefully neuter any fun out of their cars for the sake of emissions and saving their ass on warranty costs these days, and then wonder why no one buys their standard transmissions anymore... a long throw away from what I remember vw being even in the early 2000s. I wouldnt buy another based on the amount of rattles in the door panels alone though. if that can slip through without being addressed by internal testing, they don't deserve my money. thankfully, many people make a decent car these days.

    @@hi_im_dar maybe is only the 2022 model then. Gti makes 241 hp and 273 torque compared to the gli 228 and 258 for 2022. I was looking to get this car as I like the styling but that bothers me lol knowing the gti has a better tune and or engine.

    @@Mike-wc3jo the new GTI does have a bit more power. The Jetta usually upgrades and follows it a few years later. But this jetta is the same as an mk7+ gti. You prob won’t see the power upgrade in the next 2-3 years. But a 500 tune put my gli at 300hp 300tq so it’s faster than a gti
