Texas A&M and Louisville played game 2 of the College Station Super Regional in the 2022 College Baseball Season. The Aggies entered the game with a 1-0 lead in the best of 3 series, meaning they were just 1 win away from the College World Series in Omaha.

I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

as a Florida fan, hats off to A&M. They went 9-21 in SEC last year, were projected 13, had a brand new coach and a bunch of new transfers, and started off the year losing a series to Penn. Now they're the hottest team in America and are headed to Omaha

They had 11 transfers… 11… nobody knew anybody not even the coaches… this is a rag tag squad that finished the regular season 30-8. The last 38 games they went 30-8.. started 10-10 and went 40-18.. not bad

even tho the cards lost , this was still the best series , the atmosphere is crazy at a&m

As a UL fan I figured something like that would happen. Reminds me of 2015 when Cal State Fullerton was awarded a HR (clear foul ball tho) in extras of game 3 of the Supers vs UL and they advanced to the World Series ... but in the WS went 0-2 and lost the second one on a walk-off HR. Things come full circle in baseball. Nobody whined about that one tho like they did for Michigan this year. Weird but it's whatever.

He’s a transfer from oregon state. He likely got the same coach as adley ruschman
LSU/ULL fan here; props to A&M, man! I always knew that their record never reflected the team on that field at any time. They played during the regular season and the post-season with extreme determination. Their defense has rebounded with impressive speed, and I hope they are able to hold on to it! Keep it up, y'all! Gig 'em!!
Congrats to the Aggies! Louisville has a very good team. Could have gone either way. But only one team can go. Great series
The catcher for A&M, Troy Claunch, is the star of this series; knocks in the walk off winning run in game 1; guns down 3 base runners caught stealing in 2 nights.

Yeah, that didn't make a lot of sense.
As an Arkansas fan didn’t expect A&M to make it this far but watching them I feel like there the team that have the best chance to win it all it’s crazy to think about where they were last year compared to now
Also what a Herculean effort by our pitching staff. Louisville averaged 8 runs a game. We held them to 7 total in two games. On a weekend where our offense seemed to be sputtering our pitching staff came through for us. No quit in this team.
All the confeti yall saw at the end rained into the Louisville dugout!

Not really. Runner only at first. It was like a 10 pitch at bat and neither the pitcher or batter would give in. That at bat would’ve gone 20 pitches. Pitcher only throwing strikes and batter only fouling… it was the obvious and most important move of the game Edit-A&M previous coach would never had made that call and would’ve given up a base runner or a hit… that’s why they fired that guy and stole the tcu coach with a blank check

Who did then? Oregon? SEMO? Michigan certainly didn't... can't really allow 31 runs in your final 2 games and "deserve" to advance. If they could finish out innings instead of allowing half of all those runs to be 2 out runs scored, they never woulda been in that situation in the 8th inning.
