The colon is the final part of the digestive tract. Colon cancer typically affects older adults though it can happen at any age. Colon cancer is the most commonly found amongst all gastrointestinal cancers. In India, colon cancer is the 3rd most diagnosed cancer. It is diagnosed in male & in women equally.

Most common symptoms of colon cancer are change in bowel habits, blood in stool, unexplained weight loss, bloating, etc. If you are facing any of these symptoms for more than 2 weeks it is considered as a serious symptom & doctors suggest you to undergo some tests to detect the stage & grade of the cancer.

Colonoscopy - It is a painless test that helps us identify the location of the cancer.
Sigmoidoscopy - It is a process in which we can detect a cancer present in the sigmoid region of the colon.
CT Scan - Doctors advise patients to take CT Scan of abdomen & chest.
MRI Scan - Usually, the role of MRI Scan in detection of colon cancer is limited and is widely used in the diagnosis of rectal cancer.
PET Scan - It is a more advanced technique that has a higher accuracy level. PET Scan can identify tumors that are 1 to 1.5 cm small. PET Scan can be done before the surgery or even after the surgery as advised by the doctor.

No, it is unlikely that cough is related to colon cancer.
Sir mera CEA level 6.3 hai or SGPT 60, SGOT 53 hai saki sab kuch normal hai to hume aage kya karna chea

Apko symtoms kya hai
Mujhe prostate cancer 2022 m diagnose hua tha uske bad radiation therapy se thik ho gy th abhi thereafter Mera psa .01 ata rha hai Jo abhi bhi hai.RT k bad se bleeding hone lgi thi.Dr ne APC karke bleeding bnd kr di hai. Mera haemoglobin bhi down ho gy hai jo ki abhi 9.20 hai.mera petscan report bhi normal hai hai.abhi stool me mucus a rha hai. Advice pl. Regards Rksingh

Hi sir Mujay almost 10 saal sy stool main blood a raha hai abe gas bht banti hai aur stool aik time main complete ni atta bht zor laga kar thora sa atta hai but feel hota hai k abe b hajat hai Agar stool na karo phr pait sooj jata hai aur some time stool karny k badh BP low ho jata hai ju 15 min k badh normal ho jata hai Plz advise me k mujay kya karna chaiay
