5 Techniques to Speak English with Confidence - Speak English Confidently

In this lesson, you can learn how to sound more confident when you speak English. When you speak English with confidence, you can get more opportunities to learn and improve your English. Improve your confidence by taking conversation lessons with an English teacher: bit.ly/ooe-teachers.
When we ask students, “Why do you want to learn English,” often people don’t talk about their language skills. They talk about their feelings.
They say things like:
“I don’t feel confident when I’m speaking English.”
“I’m afraid my English sounds bad.”
“I want to feel better about my English.”
Does this sound like you?
In this lesson, you can learn some simple, effective tips to sound more confident speaking English. We’ll show you ideas that anyone can use.

Thank you very much for this class Gina and Martin. I used to think that I need to speak faster to sound native, because native speakers in movies sound fast to me. I was totally wrong and this make me being not well understood when I speak. I will use your advises to improve. This class is tremendously helpful to me , thank you again 🥰.

Hi Gina and Martin, It was a useful video, and it´s definitely helped me out to sound more confident, so thank you very much for that. About my advice to help people sound more confident, I´d like to tell you the following: 1. Study the phonemic chart closely and understand the difference between British, American and Australian phonemes. 2. Practice at least once a day, one specific tongue twister by every phoneme. 3. Try to repeat audio books or audio poetry, and record yourself at the same time. In my view, it is important because the majority of English learners do not understand the difference between graphemes and phonemes. Because of this, they are able to read and write, but can´t speak properly. I hope it´ll be useful. Kind regards, Mario
