#5 Tapping Maple Trees, Gathering and Making coniferous syrup

I take advantage of the mild weather to tap a few maple trees and pick fir and spruce branches to make coniferous syrup. (Check out the recipe below) I'm also thinking about my strategy to become more food autonomous by cultivating and picking my own food. Will show you more on my next episode.

Syrup recipe:
2 cups of water, 1 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 cup of spruce and fir needles
When the water is boiling, add the sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add the needles and remove from the fire. Let it infuse for 20 minutes and filter.
I add it in my sparkling water!
