Hi DR. Park. I have undergone septoplasty and SMD surgery since last 18 days. I can breath better now. But my nostrill is still uneven. The right nostrill is looking too much wide and the left where septoplasty was performed is less wider than the right nostrill. Although left nostrill has improved a lot after surgery. But will it remain uneven?

Is it possible to need Septoplasty but then it no longer being necessary once jaw surgery (to fix recessed jaw) has been performed or can jaw surgery not resolve a septic deviation?

Can’t you just make sure you are breathing through your nose exclusively to keep it clear? Mouth breathing is bad.

If not he is not looking. I went through all the jaw stretches and braces as a teenager and after two pregnancies my teeth are right back where they were and my jaw is now crooked. Thanks but no thanks.

It depends on how it was done. Decades ago it was routine to take out 2 or 4 bicuspids and apply retraction headgear. These people are more likely to suffer as adults. Dr. Bill Hang, an orthodontist, opened my eyes to this over 20 years ago. Look him up on KZread.
