Thank you for mentioning the issue of creating a mask. This is indeed an existing problem after the '24 update. At first, they made a mask that works well with rounded objects, but at the same time, it created a lot of problems on straight lines. In the latest update, this problem was solved, but the one you mentioned appeared. There are also some bugs when playing proxy files. In the last project I worked on, I had to check different codecs several times until I found the right one. Previously, everything worked fine with standard ProRes QuickTime. Also, when creating a mask, I found another bug when you try to trace the outline of an object, and you are thrown to the previous frame. And one more thing is that there are extra frames in the video when you export it. That is, there are no extra frames in the project itself, but in the final video, there may be extra frames from the previous fragment. When you edit a project with a large number of videos shot in different locations, this is very noticeable.

Another one is to allow the wheel button hold to move the timeline left or right, just like in After Effects. Since I never got used to use the Hand tool, I ended up zooming out and in with Ctrl+Wheel combination , which is pretty annoying too.

Dude, #2 is so much simpler than that. SHIFT + S enables/disables audio scrubbing. You can turn it on/off as needed. YOU'RE WELCOME

okay....I seriously thought I was the only one who dealt with the transform bug. Still not a great fix but so glad I at least have a work around now thank you.

I have been struggling with the number 9 for years!

Me: Did they change masking? Why isn't doing what i want? Eh throw it in after effects for that. Seems like even the pro's like Basics have this issue. Also if Adobe adds zoom in with the wheel please zoom in where my cursor is and not the middle so I have to find where I am editing like the zoom tool in Photoshop. Just randomly zooming in at a point I am not editing is so annoying!

I got the Macbook M2 Max a few months ago and Premiere is a lot better BUT for the love of God why do photos need to be rendered out and when i add a transform for zoom, it makes the timeline worse than my Canon R5’s 8K footage

Oh that audio scrubbing feature is nice. Why would anyone want the audio on then?

I've been using PPro since 2016 but it's pathetic to see those same problems that plagued the 2016 edition of PPro in 2024 as well. Although I didn't learn anything new (because I simply make the videos position to 0,0 instead of nesting, but that's cool too) I'm glad you made this video that will hopefully save many people's time searching through various adobe forum threads and creative cow threads. What made me click on this video is the fact that, I've not used any creative software for years ever since I got a job as an associate product manager. So I thought a video of 2024 will catch me up to speed on what Adobe has done since last time I used it (2020)

I'm not a PP ninja and my knowledge is limited but anytime I watch a tutorial/workaround video, I always have to click on "nest" at some point, instead of just functional things... Nesting is like Premiere Pro's WD-40... 😂

That number 7 is very frustrating issue. I clearly don’t understand why that’s happening. Premiere should solve it. I don’t use nest often unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Most annoying to me: 1) When a clip is pushed against another clip, the other clip is cut. PP should auto crossfade when you do this. 2) Sound and Video in clips are not linked. Never. You can easily pull them apart! I don't want that. If I want that, I will use "Unlink". And why do they have an "Unlink" when they were never linked in the first place?

Number 2. Just press SHIFT +S

never understood how a multi millionaire company could be making these dumb updates or these super inconvenient errors like crashing when you just add a simple effect it feels like Adobe doesn't care about these issue cause they take years just for them to either 1. Make an update that only temporality solves the issue until a new update screws it up all over again 2. Try to brush it under the rug by adding a harder/longer way to do what you used to do if Adobe doesn't fix these issue by Fall I have no choice but to move to Davinci
