You will be able to do it using this video, and after 5 to 10 programmed frequencies it will start to become easy. The steps will be saved in your memory, and all you will need is the manual to a new radio when programming.
You have the choice to get the programming software, And I do for radios that require it. Fortunately, most major brands do not require it. Radios like the FT3D, FT5D, and FT70 are easy to program by hand. The good thing is the range is short in an HT so programming more then 5 local repeaters is rare.
