My rider leaves a strip on the right when i turn left

I've had two cub cadet lawn tractors that both had the same issue from new. They would leave a ten inch strip half cut from the left side of the deck. I readjusted the deck and more. I finally put one in the factory repair place where they releveled and replaced the blades. Still had the same issue. I finally gave up and bought a new bad boy zero turn and now I get a smooth cut. I believe the original issue is likely due to poor deck design and not fixable.

@@weekendhomeprojects It is. Great cut but I need more practice on using a zero turn mower. I ran it one hour and then it wouldn't restart. Took it to the shop and the brake safety switch came unplugged. It's under the mower behind the deck where you can't see it without lifting up the mower. I think they likely didn't plug it in completely at the factory. It's nice not having to double mow to get a flat cut.

I got 2:34 a Cadet also and have same problems and more,,, ignition,, starter,, tires, hell, lets add the steering wheel to lol!!!!!

Funny thing is I just bought a brand new bad boy and I'm here with a seemingly random strip being missed on the left side of the deck. Very frustrating.

How do you correct overlap ?

An overlap issue would occur if you're not lining up your cut right, leaving a strip of uncut grass. I usually line up the uncut grass on the inside of my front tire, which allows for a few inches of overlap i.e. outside blade spinning over already cut grass from the last pass.

Is simplicity owned by Ferris? Because I have a 42 inch Ferris s300 that literally looks the exact same as this mower the only difference is the seat

Simplicity acquired Ferris in 1999. Then Briggs and Stratton acquired Simplicity in 2004. Just recently B&S stopped selling the Simplicity brand.

A Beekeepers Tool is perfect for cleaning under the deck.

No help have Husqvarna that has never got even no matter what I do never buy another one won't hardly climb small hill spins when on small incline worst mower I ever had

I also have a husqvarna it's the rz5424 and been having uneven/miss strip of grass ever since iv had it also can not handle any incline when you try to turn 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

same here it doesn't matter how much you adjust it,i wish someone would steal my husqvarna, and give me a reason to buy a different brand lol

@weekendhomeprojects not absolutely sure lol. my old man had a john deere that was a very good mower. after that he purchased a cub cadet, it mowed well but the rear-end went out after about 4 years. we live in wv and i think his hill just wore it out.
