My skin has never been better since I started watching your channel when I turned 50 two years ago. Biggest difference for me has been sunscreen everyday, tretinoin, and omniluxe mask for rosacea. No coincidence but all of these are because of you. You literally changed my life for the better. Can’t say thank you enough. ❤

I'm 73 and have done my skincare routine faithfully both at night and in the morning. The only thing that keeps me looking 73 without makeup are the sun damage brown spots on my face.i was a sun worshipper in my teens, 20s, 30s, and 40s. Nothing I've tried that is advertised to get rid of them has worked. Sigh!

Timestamps for the mistakes: 0:52 Not using enough sunscreen. You need a 1/4 teaspoon for the face and for the neck everyday. Reapply every 2 hours if you're outdoors. If you're inside all day, reapply a bit at least once in the afternoon (if you can) after your initial 1/4 tsp application. 5:32 Not starting on a retinoid early enough. 12:00 Not being consistent with your skincare routine. 14:22 Using too many new skincare products all at once. Your skin may have an allergic reaction or become irritated. 16:07 Not knowing what ingredients are in your skincare. Example: You may have 5 products that all have niacidamide. Having too much of a repeat ingredient may irritate the skin and not be as effective.

I started using it daily on all exposed areas when I was in my mid 20s. I noticed I had a faint tan from the twice daily 5 minute walk from my workplace to my car. I started with SPF 15 products because that was the standard then, and transitioned to SPF 30 products years later. Now, although I do have sun damage, my dermatologist says I have great skin for a 61 year old. I might add that I also wear sunglasses with a UV coating, which shield the skin around the eyes from the sun and prevent wrinkles from squinting. Also, if I'm outdoors, I try to stay in the shade as much as possible.

I went ahead and took a 1/4 tsp to my bathroom to measure my sunscreen. I’m pleased that I’ve actually been doing a pretty good job with the amount! You got me hooked on the Undefined R&R sun serum, and it’s such a great product, which makes it easy to apply liberally. Great application, great finish, the tint is perfect for me. So glad you told me about it (because yes, I feel like you’re my actual friend who tells me these things personally 😂). You’re one of the VERY few KZreadrs I completely trust.

I was a competitive swimmer and a life guard before we were using sunscreens. I tanned beautifully and had one year round. The sunscreen/wrinkle/skin cancer information became clear when I was about 20. Yikes. So after that, my mantra was if the sun hit my skin I would immediately turn into a prune! So I started using products that had sunscreens and used spay-on tanners for the outdoors. So I had nice skin until I moved to Florida just before Covid. I was still good, but the sun is inescapable here. I am so thankful, that I started listening to you and Dr Dray last year (Did not know about retinol - can you believe it?!). I really have upped my game. My skin does not look as youthful as I would like, but the last time I went to my internist, he made a positive comment on my skin as I am now 72. Just keep at... Thanks so much for the information you provide. kk

Hello BFF Angie!! You are my HG Content Creator!! You helped me get my face out of a major dry dehydrated state where I wasn't able to use sunscreen (it really came down to the humidifiers, imo - I already had a great skin care regimen but once I put sunscreen on, my face would crack and peel within hours). I purchased the humidifiers and I can happily say I can now wear sunscreen without my face drying and cracking off. The true test was today, when I decided to try a mineral sunscreen - and once again, no drying, no cracking! Angie & several brilliant followers have really saved me from a lot of frustration in this regard!! I really truly appreciate it. In other exciting news, I finally ordered a red LED mask today 🔥 and I can't wait to start it! Thanks again for all you and the fellow AHF do!! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!

I am so grateful for all the time and testing you have done which has not only helped you but all of us out here who don't have the time or quite frankly, money to try everything out there in hopes that it will work. I just purchased the Nira Laser and can't wait to get it! Keep up the GREAT work! Can't wait to learn how the Morpheus 8 did for you. I've been contemplating that one quite awhile. Quick question, Have you done a foundation review on the IL Makiage foundation that I see everywhere on Instagram? Just curious, if it is anything like the ads. Thanks again!!!!

Such great points Angie. We (me) are slathering on unnecessary stuff way too much. Not to mention devises. I was thinking to keep it more simple. Maybe doing more damage than good.

So true about the sunscreen. I'd rather over do it, then apply too little. I've used the Elta MD tinted sunscreen, but just found out that they're not cruelty free. 😢 I'm so thankful for the dermatologist who had me on Retin-A for adult onset acne in my early 20s. He advised me to never stop using it. What a Godsend he was. Thank you for the Maelove Moonlight Retinal serum. I use it on my neck, because it's so sensitive. Great advice as always, Angie. Thanks so much. Have a great weekend. ❤❤😊

Thank you Angie for reminding about 1/4-1/2 tsp of sunscreen. I see many KZreadrs rating sunscreens by how easy it sinks in, no white cast and sits under makeup. Most of them use negligible amount like you would a moisturizer.

Hi Angie, I’m almost 67 and have been following you for years. I get a lot of compliments on my skin and I have you to thank. I did order the new Nira Pro but because I’m within the 90 day window I’m going to return the original Nira. I think I’m seeing some results but my budget doesn’t allow having both. Thanks again for all your good advice.

Hey Angie, have followed you for 6 years now and my own skin has improved by having used many of the products you have tested and recommended as well as the devices. One of the products I know you have completed extensive testing on is Vitamin C. Recently I saw an article that stated that Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is MORE stable and potent than the L-ascorbic acid [Vibriance is a brand that uses Ethyl Ascorbic Acid and I believe Carrot & Stick uses it as well. Please consider testing both the Vibriance brand as well as the Carrot & Stick brand to see if you feel the ethyl ascorbic acid provides even better results than products with the L-ascorbic acid. Thank you very much for your continued videos helping those of us in the 50's to have a tremendous resource for skincare and make-up content! Your are THE BEST!

It is really making a difference - even more pores look smaller! Great recommendation, so glad I listened to you!

I am 74 and I am told by many and often from doctors that I look 10 plus years younger and ask how I care for my skin. Not bragging but it does happen.

👏🏼 yes, yes, yes! And you helped me on this journey and it changed my skincare routine forever. I would also say, using too much hyaluronic acid without proper moisturizing can do the opposite = dry out the skin; and, buying useless products like terrible vitamin C serums- which I love how you test them. Just saved a friend from spending $32 on L’Oréal thanks to you! 👏🏼

Angie, First of all, thank you for all of the experience you share with us, it’s been great to be able to follow you and see how much I been learning with you. I’m about your age and started taking care of my skin on March 2020. My question to you is: How do you reapply the sunscreen thru the day, wearing makeup and you do the most amazing try out on foundation with all of the other make up items and still at the end of the day, your make up looks great!!! I wish I can learn from you how to do that!! I wear make up ( or want to) only occasionally, but, I do not know how to reapply the sunscreen without messing up the make up. Please, do a video doing that/reapplying sunscreen with make up on so we can all learn the golden key on makeup/reapply sunscreen. Thank you so much! 😊

Some people comet on now great my makeup looks and my response besides Thank You is it’s what is under my makeup that makes the difference as I don’t always wear the same foundation everyday. The thing I love about your videos is the research you have done and are passing on great information. I still use Curology and I love that it just shows up in my mailbox. The sun protection that was out there when I was growing up is nothing like we have today. I have a lot of brown spots because of the time I did spend in the sun. After my skin care sunscreen goes on no matter if I am staying inside or going somewhere. Our houses have windows that the rays can come through and I got a great comet from my skin Dr when he asked me about mu sunscreen use. I really feel it is false advertisement when foundations say they have sunscreen but they don’t have enough. Thanks Angie for all the information you share. 😊

I’d love to give people a pro tip about sunscreen! In australia, we legally test SPF based on when it’s rubbed in to the skin. It’s the best testing in the world, and an SPF of 30+ is more effective than 50+ anywhere else

Outstanding advice as always Angie, thank you!! I have been using and love Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 for almost 10 years. It’s. A little pricy but I always buy it on sale. I love the texture and it leaves a matte finish no my skin. It’s the perfect tint too. I am very curious about the R & R sunscreen and will try that for sure.

Babo makes a spf 50 mineral face stick. Babo Botanicals Tinted Moisturizing Face Mineral Stick Sunscreen SPF 50. I’m surprised I like it so much. I think it’s good for outdoor days, for dry skin. Looks so natural. I never tried a stick sunscreen for face before.
