This is incredibly helpful! Thank you so much! 😆 I will use this for my Czech learning!

You are so right! This is how I learned most of my Czech 20 years ago when we were all moving to Prague cuz it was the new bohemian jazz spot -- by listening to and memorizing cool phrases spoken by Czech people. "Jdeme na pivo". "Pojd' sem." Zastav! Dami si vino. Otkud jste? Zvi pohode. atd.. Then you can just change the noun and voila, you have five new sentences. Muzes mi podat pepr.. muzes mi podat tuzku.." I'm going to check out the Anki flashcards.. So glad I found this! U vystrelenjeho Oka. (Czech pub_..
so....learn phrases is the best way...i memorize phrases greetings from brazil
Děkuju!Výborné!
Very good video, helpful tips. Thanks.
Ten systém se slovíčky se mi líbí. Děkuji.

You're right, sentences on flashcards are very efficient, I use to have the word plus 1-2-3 sentences (with different declensions, or sing./plu). Since a while I'm just adding short sentences I get in movie, series, italki conversations. Also I use a lot of images on my flashcards. For example I have one card with a composite of 3 photos, the answer is: Zapnout - Ona zapne troubu / On zapne televize / On zapne si knoflík. And I add a very short dialog "- Prosím tě, zapni troubu. - Trouba už je zapnuta!". With the images and the mini dialog I kind of create a context, it works efficiently for me. During italki conversations I also record the talks (with the agreement of the teachers), like this I can listen to them again (and again) and I acquire (more than I learn) the language, I catch new words in a context, new (a spravne) sentences structures, etc. Merci beaucoup !

My way of learnung languages the best way is: 1. Listen to alot of conversations in youtube for example 2. Write down words that you recognize as useful and learn these words 3. Get the basic grammar down so you roughly understand why certain words are conjugated as they are 4. Learn the grammar through examples 5. Try to make your own sentences and look up the words you don't know

It will be my 1st comment for a channel and I believe you deserve it. You genuinely know what you do. Thanks for all the effort. Also, I want to ask if there is any good language exchange app to talk with Native Czech speakers? Myslím, A partner is a necessity while learning languages :)

Děkuju za milý komentář, moc si toho vážím :) You can try www.hellotalk.com or www.tandem.net for language exchange, or pay a native speaker to speak with on www.italki.com. Also, if you live in the Czech republic, you can google local language exchange events, such as the Regular Sunday language exchange in Prague organized by Speak Easy Praha: facebook.com/speakeasypraha. Good luck!

Hi Eliška! Such greats tips, thanks for the content and the English subtitles, it was very useful. I was wondering about reading books for kids as a way to start practicing reading skills. Do you think it is a good way to learn? By the way, I am a completely beginner
@BecauseCzechIsCool
3 жыл бұрын
Ahoj! :) I personally don't like and recommend books for kids or fairy tales for native speakers to practice Czech for beginners. Even though we might think the content is easy as it's made for kids, often it has pretty complicated vocabulary, and also, the vocab you learn there is not very practical to use in real life. If you are a complete beginner you can start here: www.academia.cz/perny-den-cd-a1--bartosova-jirina--asa--2020 You can also look into these books because they are made for learners of Czech (look for A1 and A2 level in the description): www.czechstepbystep.cz/ucebnice-kategorie/adaptovana-proza You can also check duo lingual books (Czech-English) for Czech speakers who want to learn English. These books are great because you see the Czech version on one side and the English one on the other side so you can check for words and meaning quickly. Google "dvojjazyčné knihy" or "zrcadlové knihy", for example here: www.knihydobrovsky.cz/zrcadlove-knihy-2757 And again, look for A1 level in the description.
Great

Určitě. Já ji používám denně.
Také je důležité vědět, jak dlouho ten cizinec tady plánuje zůstat. Pokud jen pár let, tak bych je s tou složitou gramatikou příliš nezatěžoval, ale učil bych je něco jako "basic Czech", podle vzoru "basic English) :-)

I was disappointed to discover that Czech isn't on the Memrise app.
@astridm.8960
3 жыл бұрын
czech is definitely on the Memrise App - go to "slavic languages" - you have to scroll far down. And - even better - you can make your own lists with your own vocab - I use them every day and find them really very helpful!
@GiantMosquito
3 жыл бұрын
@@astridm.8960 I went back and looked. They've removed it from the app for new users. I had to uninstall and go to their website to find it (with the app installed, their site kept aggressively opening the app instead)
Mám anki ale vypadá jako bordel protože zapomněl jsem slovíčka z poslední roků.
