I recently submitted my first 2 books to CGC. I am now the proud owner of Batman 227 in a CGC 5.5 and Superman 233 in a CGC 4.5.

I've recently changed the direction of books I'm going after. I'm with you. Quality over quantity. The ones you showed are pretty far away from my budget, but I have found some pretty important books for under $100, and I prefer them raw. that's my lane. Great videos. Love this series.

We need to start a group to help motivate each other in this endeavor. It’s easy to want to stray from the quality sometime. For my copper age books I agree. I’d much rather have them raw.

Just picked up a copy of Flash 139 in 3.5 grade. So undervalued! A book that could explode in popularity and value if we ever get Reverse Flash in a movie.

I mean, you could throw a dart and hit under valued DC books. First silver appearance Phantom Stranger, first silver appearance of Spectre - Hell first silver atom you can get pretty cheap. It's the undervalued Silver marvel books that are hard.

I’ll certainly get to marvel foundational silver age keys. This was an experiment to see how people like this format. Showing what is available. With that said, it’s also an attempt to show people that is okay to go after DC. It’s awesome and relatively affordable. Thanks for commenting. Love your suggestions. The difference in price between Marvel and DC keys is crazy. I think 1st Supergirl is next for us 👀

Completely agree I have flash 139 raw copy but happy to have it since I love the reverse flash

I'm 0 for 5 on that list. Love them all though, esp Batgirl and Supergirl. Good video Alex.

Great list and good info! I don’t pay as much attention to DC as I should.

I believe Flash 139 is undervalued. It seems most of the people are not familiar with Eobard Thawne aka Professor Zoom and not realizing he's an important villian. I have one in a CGC 5.5 and it's one of my favorite books. With James Gunn taking over DC maybe that could be a game changer.

I really hope he can get the DC straightened out. I love Flash, green lantern, Superman etc. having a really good story with some great villains like reverse flash would be excellent.

Nice books. They look lovely lined up. I find most DC books to be undervalued, especially some of the Adams O’Neil Batman stuff.

GoCollect has a free service that will give you an idea of grades and corresponding values. Let me know if that helps of if you need more suggestions.

Got the two Bats books, but Batman and Spidey have pretty much been my focus. 😅 I have $20 plus grading fees in both

what is the type of tape you use?(the blue) I have seen many videos of people showing green or blue tape versus the usual clear tape. Is it painters tape? What is the reason for using the tape? doesn't stick to comics? Thanks and love the channel.

What is the best app to use to find value of your comics? I picked up a great first appearance of Scarecrow (silver age).

Under rated, non Marvel/DC is Hot Stuff #1. Hard to find, great cover, Iconic character. I bought a 5.0 in 2020 and it's doubled in price, but still "affordable" for a book this rare.

A little late to the party, but I'm still shocked at how affordable Adventure Comics 283 is. 1st appearance of Zod and the Phantom Zone, but you can still get a solid mid grade for around $500? Really? Unbelievable.

I don’t always read the physical copy of the book I own especially if I buy them graded, but I’ve read a bunch of my keys in reprint or digital. I love reading the books. It is cool to collect keys, but reading them makes me connect and love them on a deeper level.

because of budget, I would rather get second appearances, so much cheaper and iconic

Great stuff as usual bro! Though I still pick up new releases, I've definitely been streamlining and going after those books that I really want. After securing that sick Uncanny Avengers 1 Scarlett Witch 1:75 [Thanks again for introducing me to that one], I've secured a CGC 9.6 X-Men 1 1:50 Storm variant by Milo Manara and most recently, a CGC 9.4 of Amazing Spider-Man Annual #16. One that came out in 2019 that I recently acquired is Transformers #1, the metal cover featuring Optimus Prime and Megatron and signed by both Peter Cullen and Frank Welker (limited to 200). That one just oozes nostalgia to me! 🙂

Great video, I agree with your choices. Others to consider: Lois Lane 70, Star Trek 1, Show Case 4 & 22, Journey Into Mystery 83, Avengers 1. I tried to get all of the major Silver age keys for my collection.

I sold all my DC books a few years ago and used the funds to help pay for a FF5 CGC 6.0 and X- Men 1 CGC 4.5. I haven’t had the urge to buy any DC books since then. I’m glad people are finding joy from owning DC keys.

Those 2 marvel keys are WORTH the sacrifice. Great stuff.

1st rule for all comic fans buy Marvel. Now fan boys I'm sure you're asking why.... Because the phase of comic collecting that started in 1970 Existed because of Marvel. Stan Lee And the merry Marvel Bullpen are the reasons that fans were excited by comic looks and it really hasn't ended yet. Everything Marvel does is better than DC. I really don't know why. As a Golden Age DC collector who became one of the major dealers from 1970 on all I can say is if you want to make money Buy MARVEL. D c's are cheap for a reason. The stories unfortunately we're not up to the level of Marvel beginning in 1965 and continuing to this day.
