5 Signs You Are FAKE RICH
0:10 - Would you rather look rich or be rich
0:54 - The first sign you’re fake rich is you drive a financed car that you can’t afford
2:24 - You’re fake rich if you can afford to go to music festivals but you don’t invest in your mind
3:17 - You’re fake rich if you know how to shop for products but don’t know how to invest in companies
4:12 - You’re fake rich if you own a big house but a small savings account
5:35 - You’re fake rich if you make a lot of money but can’t afford your time
What Is The Minority Mindset?
The Minority Mindset has nothing to do with the way you look or what kind of family you're from. It's a mindset.
Give the majority $200 and they will come back with a pair of shoes. Give the minority $200 they will come back with $2,000.
Think from the mindset of a consumer and be the provider, that's the Minority Mindset. Don't be the majority. #MIH #ThinkMinority

After a few years of knowing this it's like Cipher looking at the Matrix code - "looks nice but living paycheck to paycheck" "Technically richer than me by income level but my net worth is probably higher", etc.

This will definitely cause some butt hurt. Lol. I work with fools like that. They shame me for my paid off 2010 Elantra because they have their gas guzzling $700 a month Mustang and feel I should be spending recklessly as well. Then they assume I'm not happy because I don't spend like Congress. It's tough sometimes being in the minority because of how most of society views us. They see us as "miserable" and having "no life". But my pay off will come. My day will come in due time and I'll get the last laugh.

Go Buddy, I am in the UK my 05 Nissan Micra is a shed on wheels, but I run my house on wood heat in the winter, so it does not matter if I fill the car full of Firewood and a piece scratches the interior. I can park it anywhere at the supermarket without worrying about it getting scratched, I can take it on adventure holidays down narrow lanes most people with a new Flash car would not want to travel. My friends all pay energy bills while my electricity comes to me free from the sunshine, my hot water in summer comes from a thermal type solar panel. My job is not the hardest ever and it does not take up all my life. But if I spent like the rest I would need to work like the rest. My cheap car and cheap to run house means I can afford to dine out with friends more often and eat healthier food. when I do my shopping.

This is spot on! People covet things and people with things. Then go and try to act as if they are “The people with the things”. It’s exhausting just thinking about it😒. Your worth should not be tied to how you think someone else perceives you based on what you can/can not afford. It’s an empty game.

LOL - 1 - two cars between my wife and me (well, mine is a truck). Both paid off (but they still require license plates, oils changes, I've changed a battery in the truck, tires every once in a while, but you know the drill.) Both paid off early, because we HATE non-performing debt. 2 - No interest in spending money on "music festivals", though as a former member of a local band, I enjoy the occasional night out with the wife to listen to music at a local bar - heck I know some of those guys! The better-three quarters even sometimes wants to go to a concert, but that is rare and we can afford it. 3 - Got me some of that sweet, sweet stock (but I let a manager actually handle what I own. Costs about 1%, but I am too ADHD to try to pay attention to tracking, and I think that is not an unreasonable fee. And they seem to make me more money in the investments than I made when it was all just blindly thrown into various 401k and IRA accounts.) 4 - House is paid for! (Well, we still set aside about $500/month to cover annual taxes and insurance.) Got a reasonable 12 month's in spendable savings. Still, I have three mortgages, but those are performing assets in the form of rental property. There is a much bigger note on an apartment complex, but I'm just a 5% member of an LLC. But that one turns a 9% return (though the investors agreed to only take out about 7.5% to build additional equity, so that we don't ever have to have a dreaded "cash call" if the capitalization proves too low - but so far, so good.) 5 - I retired at 59 1/2, and nope, don't do conspicuous consumption. But I am driving down to Austin later today to celebrate the 60th birthday of a college bud (who actually also retired early.) If people would take your very good advice, they'd be much better off! Thumbs up.

Aye, people just don't know how quickly the dollar adds up, though they're constantly spending for short-term momentary comforts like all you mentioned in this video. It's really sad to see those tears...If you know you have to make a decision that will lead to another at some point, better take your time and make a long-term plan instead. Bruce Lee once said, "Don't wish for an easy life, for everything else will be difficult; work hard and life will be easy."

Pro tip: If you finance your car at a low (~3%) interest rate, you can use that saved money to make a greater return in the stock market.

Another sign: when they have to convince and try hard telling other people they are rich. Real rich people don’t have to prove it. It’s just there in your face.

Love the comment on the car. My car is an 03 with 193K miles. When it was paid off more than a decade ago, I have been saving and investing. When I am ready to renew the car, it is already paid for. In the meantime, I took advantage of the huge stock market sale last spring. When some stocks spiked in price, put them on a stop loss sale. Now I have to pay taxes on about 50K of realized capitol gains. Next car is already paid for, but I like the way it is returning dividends and growing in the market. Remember, buy low, sell high, in profitable companies. Avoid the companies with negative EPS and high debt. Now if I want to go to a festival, I'm usually in the sound booth. :-)

DUDE!!! You crack me up while I am learning. I love it. I only found your KZread channel a couple of months ago but I am already changing my entire way of thinking and looking at life and the World around me. Now I am constantly looking for new opportunities. I had a decent start over the past 20 years but not enough of one to get the BIG snowball rolling. It is now rolling. :D Thank you so much for offering all of this information.

Nothing wrong with leasing or financing a car. I do that. Instead of paying cash for a car, I invested the money and use the dividends to pay the monthly payments. I still have my money and now I have a free car... lol... if I paid cash, I'd have a car and a lot less money. That's my style... I invest the money that I work for and only spend the dividends.

Really it makes no sense to save up $25,000 only to drop it on a car instead of investing it. Maybe if interests rates were sky high, but they are really low now. You got that 25K working for you the whole time.

My elderly brother in law inherited the Jim Beam fortune. He had a sprawling house in Palm Desert that had maybe 6 big zone air conditioner units outside. The stone floor was cold, the air was too cold and he asked if I wouldn't mind if he turned up the thermostats. Not at all. His wife always set them very low. When I asked him what the electric bill was, he didn't know. He said he has secretaries in Chicago who take care of paying bills. Hours later by the pool, he was still thinking about it. He said he would ask about the electric bill just out of curiosity. The cost is something he never thought of. Everett is sitting in the sunshine getting a tan in Heaven now. He was a great guy.

ok, I agree on all this, BUT taking out a loan on a car isn't the worst idea, WHEN you get the right car. My 2002 Lexus IS300 SportCross may be financed. But It's still in great shape, and is guaranteed to hold it's value, if not gain more over the years
