you can drop the "You're special" book. Tell Dogmeat to pick it up and pick it up yourself. Dogmeat will have an unused one in his inventory.

The only one I like and use.

North east of sanctuary hills is a junkyard and a satellite station. The Junkyard has a fatman and one mini nuke hidden amongst the trash and there is also a deactivated sentry bot which you could kill for fusion cores or reactivate and send to a settlement. In between the junkyard and the satellite station is a downed vertibird with a levelled set of power armor. The satellite station itself has some decent loot, a magazine, and a raider boss armed with a minigun. Edit: For more decent loot, go farther east until you see an elevated highway. Look out for some shacks and windmills on top of the highway. Save and go up to that area and kill the 3 gunners there. You will leave with 2 laser pistols, 1 hunting rifle, and 1 laser sniper rifle which is arguably the most powerful weapon in the entire starting area.

Also at the Water generator, there is a .44 Revolver, some ammo for it, a suitcase and some other extra and useful stuff like Radaway on top.

The fourth one when you get extra caps you can also go to the sides and see a 44.magnum and 5 44. Rounds

Did you talk about that one tower that has a full suit of power armor that scales with levels even up to X-01 power armor but is defended by a assaultron and sentry bot

I didn't know about the duffle. Second house on the left heading into sant from RR is a drug dealers house. His terminal talks about the aforementioned homeowner as a shady customer 🤣

Only thing i don't forget about in every playthrough is the Special book, didn't know there was a duffel on top of that house tho

I never climbed that tree onto the roof for that duffel bag. I like to build, so i am deleating junk left and right as soon as possible.

at the disposal ground, you can send the sentry bot to deal with the raiders at Olivia satellite station.

The music is like the best part of anything.

The root cellar is a special area; if you uninstall a mod or DLC while you are in its cell and load your save, you will be dropped in there as a fallback.

For anyone who was struggling to find the Fat Man for a bit, it's gonna be on the cars behind the Sentry Bot

Next to last. You didn’t mention the .44 that right f’n there.

Also at the robotics plant you can get two fusion cores. The inside the chest near the sentry bot, and by activating the self destruct sequence on the prototype sentry bot, it will drop a fusion core upon death. Also the nearby Satellite Station has an extra mini nuke and a legendary radroach spawn, so save outside the entrance if you want to reroll your legendary drops.

If you can't upgrade your desited point wiht the "You're Special" book because it is already maxed out, get hammered on chems until your stat is knocked down below 10. Also, don't pick up any S.P.E.C.I.A.L. bobbleheads until those stats are level 10. Hello, permanent level 11.

Darn, I was hoping to see more of the new player hazing techniques. My go to if I get the chance is telling a new fallout 4 player about the Deathclaws Pro Hunter challenge, and omitting the fact that it’s NV only

Man I made the red rocket place my base just because it’s safe by the start and has a power armor station and I’m kinda new I like the tips and help wish I knew before I started

There’s a snub nose 44 at the generator and in the building at the scrap yard there’s a magazine for a free power armor paint scheme hot rod flames

Make water. Sell water. Trade water for things. Keep water for thirst, health and save stimpaks for broken limbs. It will solve most problems early on. I am The WaterSalesman and Everyone. Needs. Water. Except the noodle robot in diamond city. Takahashi I believe. Yea he don't have none of that.

if that's because you're attributes are maxed you can lower them with chems or survival mode depletion and when they are temporarily below 10 you can use it then and recover over 10

Not new to the game still didn't know any of these

most of the loot in containers and on enemies is random and based on your characters level, so sometimes leaving an easy to get container til later is better, like the duffle bags near the statue and on the roof... also, power armor pretty much sucks.

Yeah don’t tell anyone about the killer robot at the disposal grounds

There's power armour around that area were you find the fat man it will look like a helicopter that crashed have fun ❤

I bought the game just before the show came out and I found the platinum easier than skyrim. I don't see how so little haven't got the plat. Also if you don't care about being a cheat there is a very easy way to dupe junk. So you find the junk that is worth the most dupe it and drop it on the floor for your companion to pick up. The game ignores to carry cap if they pick it up. Then go to diamond city take the junk then use it as your currency so you spend no caps but get all the ammo and weapons you want.

I started a fallout 4 campaign before my daughter was born, she's 5 now
